So next week is going to be fun at Zandvoort.

The NS (Dutch Railway) is on a week long strike in different regions and threatened to go nationwide in September (wage disputes).

At the same time on Saturday they already suspended all trains at the Biljmer Arena area (not close to Zandvoort) because of safety concerns because at the arena complex at the same time:

- there is an Ajax game in the stadium
- there's a concert in the Ziggo Dome
- there's a concert at AFAS Live
- F1 fans will be returning home past there

This was a month or so I ago

And last night a train conductor body slammed a passenger who apparently refused to get off the train after being ordered to.

Fernando Alonso has outlined the extents of his talks with Aston Martin before deciding to make the switch from Alpine for 2023– revealing that it was the result of only a ten-minute chat on the phone.

It turns out, when you’re a two-time world champion with over 20 years of experience in F1, job interviews are quite easy and it’s as simple as just telling the team what you want!

Despite all the drama unfolding around the announcement, Alonso has insisted that the talks were surprisingly laid-back, speaking in an interview with F1TV.

“Everything started when Sebastian announced his retirement on Thursday. I had a telephone call with Aston on Thursday evening we sit down we agree on something we sign on Monday, and we announced on Monday.

“They asked if I had a contract with Alpine for next year, I said no, not yet only talks until now and they said, ‘what do you want?’

“I said my requirements, they fulfil all of my requirements, they show me the project, the people that they took, the new facilities. So yeah, it was a 10-minute talk.”

If Piastri does indeed have a clear path to his alleged McLaren contract, Alpine really did sh_t the bed regarding their future driver lineup by leaving 2 good drivers hanging out there for the picking.

No big deal that, our local ambulance service has been trialling jet packs for some time now.
why?

The only benefit I can think of would be to get a Dr. or Paramedic on scene whilst waiting for an Ambulance to navigate traffic. Certainly couldn't pick up a trauma patient with a jet pack.

No wonder NHS is short of cash.

To get a paramedic up into a mountainous area.

RB race to lose tomorrow. Merc nowhere and Alpine also have a chance at a podium.

So there we go. Very clear who had to change their floor..... And who didn't....

Bit of egg on the face for Ted Kravitz I'm sure. He was banging on about both Ferrari and RB having to comply. Tit.

I suspect you are correct but let's see what happens over a full Race rather than 3 short sessions before jumping to conclusions.

I think it is just item 3.

RB are reportedly using a flexible floor but the current tests are unable to detect it.
The new test will allow the allegations to be proven unless RB make the car legal.

They are ranting on about raising the underfloor as that will stop or reduce the proposing, but at the cost of downforce and speed. So they claim they will be slowed down to match MB but that is just a smoke screen.

The new floor tests are their real concern.
I expect Redbull to be a little slower from Spar to the End of season:

The new ride Hight will only be introduced next year but the above will Rule out the Flexing that BR are believed to be doing.
I suspect Max, Charles, Carlos and Checo will all be looking for pace and playing with setups.
They will be using a new, stiffer, chassis to comply with the new flexing rules so the handling will be a lot different to what they are used too.
This race could go Hamilton's way.

I think people have it wrong. Somehow this story has been spun as one team unhappy about the advantage of another rather than porpoising and what's safe for drivers in the long term. It was always going to set everyone back evenly.
Yet there's 6 tenths difference between the top 2 teams and the red team has absolutely no idea why that is.

Looking forward to seeing nr 1 and 16 come through the pack tomorrow. Max did a 10 to first 3 weeks ago. If he does a 15 to podium (or win?) then we'll certainly have more clarity on the matter.
