Fun. Now do Verstappens crashes and find the common denominator.

I don't think VER has crashed into LEC nor PER (his main competitors) this year?

Actually LEC and VER battles have been quite good and clean this year.

This woke crowd is amazing, how they love to play the victim. They will even support RB driver Perez just to play the victim.
Schumacher would have done the same
Senna would have done the same
Hamilton probably have done the same.
Who can remember this Alonso gold.

I like Max a lot but it was lousy from him not to let Checo through for the extra points.

Even if Checo did something to upset him, be the better person and show that you are a real sportsman.

It could be that there was an agreement like "PER can get priority of strat in Monaco but then VER is to get preference for the rest of the year regardless of championship".

In which case RB team are a bunch of knobs for pushing the public opinion to go back on such an agreement.

I see your stopping HAM and raise you...

Yes, and the FIA/stewards never make mistakes, do they?

Aren't the butthurt Lulu fanboys still going on about AD 2021?

You seem to be the emotional butthurt one looking at your post.

They do fck you, and in this case I said from the beginning I think it's a racing incident as either of the two could've tapped out.

But both HAM and Ver acts like arseholes towards each other but civil towards the other drivers.

Slept on it...

Woke up feeling that something still wasn't right. I don't like what went down with Red Bull yesterday as the optics are terrible and it just tarnishes the brand even more.

I'm a massive Max fan, but yesterday was difficult to tolerate. Checo has been the ultimate wingman and returning the favour yesterday would've cost Max nothing.

And then, there's that team radio. I've never heard an employee talk down to the employer like that.

Bitter taste in my mouth.

But, as an aside, I think Red Bull should have yanked Max back after the 2nd DRS zone on the last lap. He still wasn't past Alonso and so had no chance of catching Le Clerc. The fact that Max was 4s ahead of Checo on the line meant he was too far anyways because he was still in "chase Alonso" mode.

But my first opinion stands. I wish it had not gone down like that. Social media fuel for the flames. What a clusterF of a PR season for RB.
Max is a hot head. I've always liked the fact that he's a no-nonsense racer and will rather fail trying to give it a go on track than settle for safe second, but ja... win at all costs seems to be what his dad drummed into him. He's clearly not there for the team. Few world champions have been really, some have just been lucky enough to be in a team where they dominate and so get away with it.

They seemed pretty rational to me besides the SC Tsunoda thing.
The RIC one contradicts itself though? "RIC not reckless, and no other cars around mean it's not a first lap incident"

I posted earlier that LH got on the radio saying it was a racing incident, because he knew he was in the wrong and was trying to get out of a penalty.
He actually said that it was no racing incident. ie. It was Max's fault and deliberate.

This had me thinking. There was an ask for place switch in the sprint race. Wonder if it came up in pre-race briefing and VER said "I won't do that, here are reasons". Then to only be asked again would be annoying and pull the public facing pressure "to do the right thing" as it's over the radio.

It wont justify his stance on not helping PER, but it would explain his annoyance with the order.
There was no ask. It was a team order, not a request.
His return "I told you already last time, you guys don't ask that again to me. Okay, are we clear about that?".

Which begs the question, who's in charge at Redbull?

No, there was an ask in the sprint from PER to his crew, that is what I meant. So pre-race they probably talked about it again and VER said no.

Who is in charge of RB? Max is in a power position for sure, without him they would not be where they are today.
Big egos at play, but I think VER is in the stronger position. RB have made that car FOR him, and without him they will go backwards and lose to Ferrari or Merc next year.

The trouble they have as a team is that when Max has chewed them up and spat them out they are going to have a hard time rebuilding their image.
