"According our data Lewis Hamilton lost between 6-9 seconds due to strategy; Mercedes was faster than Red Bull. Leclerc could have shown a good pace, he missed a ‘virtual’ podium due to the ineffective strategy"
Mercedes was cheating with LH which is why they were faster. Look how George fared in a legal car.

We actually don't know whether George's car was legal as it wasn't tested. The only two we know for sure were legal were Lando and Max.

If they were running his car lower the wear would've been uniform across the skid plate for both Merc and Ferrari. We're talking approximately 0.8-1.2mm of wear at the rear only which would trigger the DSQ depending on the thickness of the skid plate. Would love to know the FIA's actual measurements but doesnt seem to be public.

It is fine blaming the teams but what about the organizers.
All of the time that used to be spent on setup and pre race inspection is now taken up by the sprint race.
If the sprint race has to be retained then make Friday a Sprint race, and treat it as a separate event, then hold F1 on the Saturday and Sunday. That way the teams get back the ability to make changes, rather than spending the entire weekend in Parc fermé conditions after a one hour practice window.
The Current format is just serving to dilute the importance of the F1 Main race and adding nothing to the sport apart from increased profit for FoM.
I was actually thinking about this on Saturday. The sprint race is a distraction and has never lived up to expectations (not that I know what the expectations were). Get rid of it and let’s get qualy on Saturday. That’s much more exciting anyway.

Another cool idea would be running an experimental car with the reserve driver for the sprint. I get why they'd want to have some more racing over the weekend.

No way. Las Vegas will at least look awesome, especially with that sphere.
you know when you see that stunning blond wiht the perfect body and the amazing face and then she starts talking and its like "I am Marlelize wif an I and I am a pie piece. whats your zoe direct"
in that moment you realise that things can be pretty and still completely komin and cringe.
now that you have that image in your head, welcome to Vegas.

Thus, at the end of the story, Ing McLaren and Red Bull sacrificed over 1 tenth to protect the bottom.

Hamilton's car was in worse shape than Leclerc's.

In conclusion we saw performances that were close but poor, not F1-like.

If two important teams had under-rating problems I would say that there could have been many cars on the verge of disqualification.

Although many engineers raised their cars it wasn't enough, after all having to deal with just one FP in Austin (like in Spa) is a bit embarrassing, in exchange for an increasingly questionable format"
