But from whom? And why Max? Mexicans wouldn't attack Checo's teammate. Hemlum Marko on the other hand, he should be travelling in kevlar I reckon.

From the article, apparently there have been threats from Mexican fans.

And while Verstappen is the overwhelming favourite to take victory number 16 at the upcoming Mexican Grand Prix, it is his Red Bull team-mate Sergio Perez who will be looking to impress in front of his home crowd.

There Verstappen would already have been anticipating something of a hostile reaction, but such treatment already started at the US Grand Prix when booing could be heard as Verstappen took to the top step of the podium.

Marko blamed the Mexican fans for this, and informing F1-Insider.com that social media threats were being made against Verstappen even before the US Grand Prix booing, Red Bull has chosen to act.

Sounds like a load of kak. Either way, I hope nothing happens and it's a lovely, smooth weekend.

"There was vague talk some weeks ago that Red Bull was looking to buy Lando Norris out of his McLaren contract in order for him to race alongside Max Verstappen in 2024. Everyone denied it but there were definitely discussions. I am told that in the end Lando decided against it"

So this weekend we find out if the Perez retirement rumour was true......

Good luck to Max getting out the country on Sunday if Perez does indeed live up to the rumour.

Lando knows what's good for him. Forcing him into Max' car would kill his career too.

"A return to the standard F1 practice format for the Mexico GP! There's one additional tyre on track this Friday: teams will try out a prototype C4 compound "
