What was that about? I was on a call, so had the sound off. Looked like he was giving Ted the finger?
Ted mentioned something about him being 50 and wearing glasses/specs now.
I guess Ted pointed to his own specs and Christian didn't know what he was pointing to and probably mimicked him by flippin the bird.

Yeah, how can a team be punished because the track was not on standard. I mean I know they have to stick to their rules, but hell man. This wasn't a car failure or crash due to a mistake. The freaking earth from underneath him shot through the car..

Decent session. Ferrari looking good despite the 10 place grid penalty due for Carlos.
Both Ferrari's looking good. Kudos to the engineers to get that car out. Fred looked suitably pissed in that principals interview. I'm sure if they weren't so close to season finale, the cost cap would have been a bigger part of the discussion. Surely the damage is already punishment enough for the team.

Be that as it may, expect some exciting driving from Carlos on Sunday.

TK mentioned that there would have been no penalty only if all the teams agreed to it, but one team was going to protest. Rumour is that it was, perhaps unsurprisingly, Mercedes
Rumour had it, that perhaps, you're talking crap...

Not sure if this has been posted already so apologies in advance.

FIA: "Concrete frame around a manhole cover that has failed. Now need to check all the other manhole covers, which will take some time. Will be discussing with circuit engineering team about length of time it will take to resolve and will update with any changes to schedule"

Perhaps not. The Sky team were discussing the same thing. Pretty sure Toto indicated that they would be objecting if the stewards issued a statement with mitigation, so the stewards would want to avoid the bun fight altogether and issue a statement as above.

If true, that's super cuntish of him, wasn't Carlo's fault.

Rules are rules though - if you're going to start inventing on the fly, you end up with the aftermath of Abu Dhabi 2021.
And yet we got the aftermath of Abu Dhabi.
Easier to bend the rules when it suits.

Ferrari team boss taking no prisoners during the team principals interview. Very cringe but well deserved as the interviewer is trying to brush the FP1 incident aside by asking him about the spectacle that is Vegas while Ferrari are worried about their car.
Man lost a chassis, ICE, battery store and 10 grid spots. I'd also have lost my SH. So would Toto had it been his car.
