But those are Minis disguised as cooldrinks. The F1 car IS a cooldrink.

No, it was only recently that F1 cars became cooldrinks. I don`t want to watch cooldrinks race, I want to see real cars and I want danger like in the 60s.

How is the F1 car a cooldrink?

And if you want danger like in the 60's invent a time machine.. the world has moved the fsck on.

The car is a Red Bull energy cooldrink.

Yes, the world has moved on to make F1 safe and boring. If they were clever they could have made it safe without making it boring.

No, its still a car, with a Honda Engine but Red Bull branding since they largely fund the team.

I won't deny that F1 has had its moments of being boring, last season was not one of those moments. but you specifically requested danger like in the 60s, which is a very different ask from being safe but not boring.

So a car is only the engine and the rest is branding? No, a car is the entire thing, so the car is a cooldrink with a Ford engine, but we think of it as a Red Bull cooldrink in total.

You know I exaggerate everything to try and be funny. Of course it is good that it is safer, I don`t want to see drivers die like in the 60s. However, the safety aspect was done wrong by continuing to want faster cars, but now these cars have so much downforce that overtaking is impossible. They should have limited the downforce on cars as well as the speed. People want to see racing and not just ultimate speed.

No its a car, that is branded with Red Bull... I would hazard a guess that nobody thinks of it as a Red Bull cooldrink.

It's a car. With or without branding it's a car. It has never been a cooldrink and never will be one. Glad we settled that.

I would love to see them take the V10 era cars and run them on modern tyres.

BUT, what car is it then if it is a car? If it is a car then it surely has a car brand? Red Bull is not a car, it is a cooldrink. A cooldrink can never be a car, and a car can not be a cooldrink and a car. Even if you take the branding away it is still a Red Bull, and Red Bull is still a cooldrink.

You're being intentionally obtuse and while I'm all for a bit of banter, this inanity is just moronic and annoying at this point.

Let's have constructive discussion regarding F1, not this.

It is obtuse and insane to have a cooldrink as a car racing in F1. Good that you are fine with this, but then you had to find fault with me pointing this out.

So lets have a constructive discussion then: F1 today is **** compared to the old days.

There is no cooldrink racing as a car. There is a car racing, which has sponsorship from a cooldrink company. In the same way that Alpha Tauri isn't a t-shirt racing around, it is a car, which has sponsorship from a clothing company.

I think F1 hit a bad spell but last season was pretty good. I'm hoping this season will be a good one as well.

Yeah, good with a Merc in front being chased by a Ferrari, a McLaren and then a RB.

This is probably the best ever F1 car. I drove this in simulation and found out that I am guaranteed to die when I set the boost to over 50%. It does not even feel like it has power steering. Today any playstation kid (Hamilton) can go drive an F1 car with speed and safety, but they will all die in this:
