What a joke!! Where did astons crew touch the car in pits.
FIAA are out of hand.
 
I guess that will be the last jack duty for that crewmember in the AM team.

Petty marshals trying hard to create DTS drama.
The safety car call was just as pathetic.

Rule is that the car may not be touched while serving. I'd think this is to simplify the officials jobs on deciding what is "work" and what is not "work" on the car. Easy rule "you touch, you fail".

Stewards are being as controversial as ever.

Bigger picture, I don't think it changes much in the standings when we get to the end of the year.

I honestly do not know if some of you just struggle grasping context in the English language or deliberately looking for a fight or something.
 
So he had a 5 second penalty which he 'didn't complete' - so then take 5 seconds off.

That's a total 10 second penalty minus 1 second for the touching jack.

That said if there's any justice it will be reversed for not giving the extra penalty at the time.

And yet they leave the Mclaren's front wing laying on the race track without worrying them.
 
Listen people rules are rules, if the rule say you not allowed to touch the car, you are not allowed to touch it.
This is exactly what you get when you start bending rules and getting fake medical certificates, now everyone looks where they can cheat and not follow the rules.

Agreed. F1 has become so lame these days. Bring back the pit girls, refuelling, the punch ups and more hard racing. This season is going to be boring. We’ll never see a 2021 again.

And it takes them 18 laps to make that call??

My understanding is you "keep your 5s as it was not served correctly and you get 5s for trying to cheat breaking the rules" - they simplify it to 10s.

It's a stupid rule if the driver gains no advantage.

If that was announced shortly after the jack incident, Alonso would have just pulled another 5 seconds over George. He was that much quicker. He was robbed.

I'm just pointing out that its not consistent as it shouldn't take them so long (the pit was on lap 19) to determine if a penalty was served correctly as per regulation - it's their job after all. Ocon's penalties took how long? Consistency includes timeous application too - Strategy and lap targets might have been adjusted to cater.
