Well done to the two Brits especially Lando. Max and his rocket untouchable. Albon had a great moment! Solid race.

Great win for Max and I'm really hoping Red Bull can take them all this year and smash records..

Lando should've got 100% Driver of the Day. To hold off Lewis while on cold Hard tyres. Unreal. As Max said this week: If Lando had a race winning car, he'd win.

Further to my first paragraph, new rule for the rest of this year is a random safety car when there are 15-20 laps remaining. Epic battles behind the leader to improve excitement.

DotD Lando Norris..............

And well deserved.
They switch that hard tyre on beautifully. I also thought they were sitting ducks.

Yeah, I was so sure Hamilton would pass him.
F1's audio mixer doing his best again to hide the the Max booing.

That's just sad, he is a not so nice person ( edited for the sake of speedsters sanity) but he is a great driver that drove flawlessly regardless of how fast the car is, he deserved that win. And he did nothing in the race to deserve a boo.

You seem to be very sensitive when the great Dutchman is insulted, but not when the only black driver on the grid is being called a pool boy? And then you wonder why I called the orange army bigots?
Maybe I missed it. Perhaps you can quote where any other member used vulgar and offensive language relating to any other driver?

Max actually is a decent person off track. You see it in interviews and he even stopped to talk to Martin Brundle during the grid walk. He's not into fashion or records. He just likes to race. And win.

The winning is where he becomes very selfish and in his earlier years, overly aggressive. But selfishness is what makes a champion. Hell, Jenson Button has even admitted that he himself was selfish when on top.

The British crowd hates Max because of everything that happened to Hamilton in 2021. That's fair. But the optics of the boo'ing is not good.

To say Max, as a person off track, is not a nice person, is factually incorrect.

Yeah, you've been missing stuff like that for years.

I don't always follow the drivers off track so I judge them mostly on his on track behaviour. And that is not good, it's better now as he is far out front with no competition. That will change the second the rest of the manufacturers catch up.

Aston Martin showed lots of promise, then Mercedes and now Williams and Macca. But still that Rbr is untouchable. I'm really hoping that Mercedes and at least of of the customer teams shows up soon and start making waves.

He comes across as a really nice guy.
Open and honest and a true Motorsport fan.
I was expecting prim donnas who though they could look down on everyone but I was wrong.
I am now suitably impressed.
I found it interesting that nobody has brought up Pitt's rudeness towards Brundle on the grid walk in September last year.

In The Notebook yesterday, Ted made an appropriate Freudian Slip by referring to him as Brad Tit, before quickly correcting himself.

Yes Lando!! Mclaren is back boys!!.

Really enjoyed that quali and race. Lando is going to be UK's next favourite, sorry Russel.

How is that WIlliams? Are we going back to the 90's?

Eish Perez is just not good enough, and where the hell have the Aston's been these last two weeks?

To be fair, he's a pretty decent guy. He gets on really well with Lando and Ricciardo (some of the more likable drivers on the grid) and this side comes through if you watch him stream when he plays racing simulators. Yes, when the helmet comes on, he is ruthless, but so were Schumacher and Vettel and Lewis is the same in this regard as well.

People took the 2021 feud way too personally - both sets of fans - and Max also appears to be personally paying for the ''sins'' of his father, Piquet Sr and Michael Masi, as if he is responsible and accountable for what either of them have said and done.

Crazy to think that McLaren got more points in one race than the rest of the seasons races combined.

The McLaren still doesn't seem to like the slow corners so am tempering my expectations for Hungary

Yeah and it even seems him and Lewis is getting on pretty well lately with both of them sharing jokes and chatting about the races, cars etc.

It is the same with Rugby. for 80 minutes the guys want to moer each other and afterwards they all hug and beers gets shared. That is sport for you.

Max has matured a bit, both as a person and a driver. That said, not being direct rivals has probably eased the tension on their relationship.
