Still second in the constructors. At the end of the season that's all that matters.

Go check whether Bottas came first or second 100% of the time. Or 7x world champion for that matter...
No, sorry, that's not enough. That car is so much faster than any others. He is only 40 points and 1 podium ahead of Alonso who only had a good car for what, 6 races? 7? He is 125 points and 5 podiums behind his teammate in the same car. Obviously Max should be beating him, he's the far better driver. But that gap is horrendous halfway thorough the season.

Why are you defending his abilities when he has driven so badly this year? Objectively badly. Remove my opinion and look at the stats and facts. He has driven badly.

These guys refuse to accept that Max is driving that car insanely well. The only way they can stomach the idea of him doing so well is by putting it all down to the car. But then they have a Checo problem which they solve by considering him to be utterly useless.
Yes.

Also, you can see it's summer break.

Same, but honestly not really looking forward to Zandvoort - another Monaco type track (very few over taking areas). Quali might be the highlight again.
It is the F1 2023 Quali Championship at this point. The drivers and constructors are all but buttoned up so the races are irrelevant now.

Massa acted on information from former F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone, who suggested that knowledge of the controversial 2008 Singapore GP 'crashgate' was available early enough for action to be taken before the result of the championship was made final.

In March Ecclestone was quoted in an interview by F1-insider saying the result of the Singapore race, in which Nelson Piquet Jr deliberately crashed to helped Renault team-mate Fernando Alonso win, could have been thrown out, which would have swung the title race in favour of the Ferrari driver.

Praise Massa. 2008 Driver's World Champion. I see the drama kicked off with lawyers letters being sent.

Maybe not, even the article makes the point it's pie in the sky.

Intriguingly, Ecclestone has now said he could not remember giving the interview that led to Massa's legal campaign and added that he hasn't been approached by Massa or his legal team to verify his comments.

"I don't remember any of this, to be honest," the 92-year-old told Reuters. "I don't remember giving the interview for sure."

And

It remains to be seen whether or not Massa's team has a realistic avenue to challenge the 15-year-old championship result.

The FIA's International Sporting Code does not allow protests after a race and any right to request a review expires 14 calendar days after a competition – and four days prior to the date of that year's FIA prize-giving ceremony.

Furthermore, the FIA's judicial system is clear that the highest authority to make any ruling is the independent International Court of Appeal, and that any persons involved in a championship agree to abide by this.

In theory Massa could seek out the views of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), but it has no jurisdiction over the FIA on the matter.

The FIA statutes dictate that the CAS may only be involved in issues relating to the FIA's Anti-Doping Disciplinary Committee.

And
A 92 year old has a memory failure? Colour me shocked.

What's CAS got to do with it? Massa's lawyers have started proceedings through UK court.

'the article'. There's many of them.

Which makes it difficult calling him as a witness?

The court will be likely be deemed to not have jurisdiction, at least from the point of deciding on the championship.

It's the one in the quote?

Good for you. Post link to article in post where you **** me out in future.

What an I supposed to do with a picture? Read the article you 'quote'?

It's in the post directly before yours, pinball. I presumed you were directly commenting on that considering the fact it directly follows on....

Edit

And I wasn't trying to **** you out.

Oh well. I've said before people shouldn't assume.

If I reference a post or an article I would out if courtesy link or quote it.

I read an article. Not that one obviously and posted in the F1 thread.

Nevermind. I'll go. F1 isn't even a sport anyway.
