And just for clarity, I'm all for innovation in the sport irrespective of whether these things make it to production vehicles or not, but flexing wings aren't likely to be a production vehicle component.

I think the sprints last year were better than this year especially with the broken qualy format for the race on friday and another on saturday for the sprint breaking the link to the main gp.
If I could I'd say the weekend should be in this format:
No Fridays - leave that to make it easier for teams to set up the garages and 1 extra day for logistics so better for mental health
Extended testing sessions on Saturday to get the car set up and ready - can also have more running time this way to better understand cars and close gaps
Qualy on Sunday half an hour before the race start - can either sprint before GP or main GP but each flows into the other

By this I meant that what F1 designs makes its way into production cars. And you need to look at the Mercedes AMG ONE, Aston Martin Valkyrie etc. to see how F1 tech has been utilised in road cars. How is that whining? I used a flex wing as an example as it had been mentioned, but hell buddy, if that's what you're desperate to cling too, then have at it.

From the onboards I've seen, all the front wings seem to flex somewhat. I know there's a range of permitted movement for integral reasons, but I'm not sure what the details are.
From the directive, it seems the issue isn't as much with outright rigidity as it is with mounts and such moving under certain conditions. Quite an interesting one from an engineering perspective.

Hell I remember earlier in the year when the Alpine back wing was bouncing around like crazy looking like it was going to fall off. I mean, those things are and probably should be as light as possible. Surely to minimize movement they would have to be heavier?
