Not related at all. Just wanted to know where you stood with that. I also prefer old school racing without the halo cockpit and red flag rain days.
I think the sprints last year were better than this year especially with the broken qualy format for the race on friday and another on saturday for the sprint breaking the link to the main gp.
If I could I'd say the weekend should be in this format:
- No Fridays - leave that to make it easier for teams to set up the garages and 1 extra day for logistics so better for mental health
- Extended testing sessions on Saturday to get the car set up and ready - can also have more running time this way to better understand cars and close gaps
- Qualy on Sunday half an hour before the race start - can either sprint before GP or main GP but each flows into the other
