Well I did rather think that My Question mark made it a query not a complaint.

But, as you asked, I do not complain about fair wheel to wheel racing where the best driver in the best car wins.
F1 is / was an engineering sport, he who innovates best and has it driven by the best driver wins hence the Drivers and Constructers championships.

Remember how they were once called Pilots or Test Pilots? That was because they were designing and engineering bleeding edge cars with aircraft type ideas. Adrian Newey once said that the only thing stopping F1 cars breaking the sound barrier is the requirement to have a driver in it.

But I suppose most of the kids on this forum were to young back then to watch adult TV.
Try asking you grand father what F1 used to be about then tell me if I am complaining or just missing the true F1.

Yeah, Ferrari may get pole, but as they traditionally always suffer from more deg in the race, they'll be munched by RB with DRS and then the gap will just grow.
 
Great F2 sprint. 3 and 4 wide into the corners. Close racing. Martins like bat out of hell through the pack from 6 to 2. Vesti did well to hang on.

He has a point still. As much as I like Checo I can think of many drivers I'd pick over him and having better in that seat might've made the season a little less of a snoozefest.
 
Loved the way Rosberg articulated himself now regarding driver rivalry vs team-work, this was in context of Mercedes and their current driver dynamic

I think we've previously been over this (couple weeks ago). Who, currently on the grid, in Checo's car is beating Max? Lando? Not Lewis.

In 2023, Max is racing Max. Makes no difference who is in the other car, he is racing the rest of the grid.

We'll never know and I think that's the point of the commentary.

I'm guessing that most Ferrari Champs saw Ferrari as their final stint.
