It's getting to that time of the year to start getting the calculators out. There are 8 Grand Prix and 3 sprints left this year. That works out to 232 points still up for grabs.
Max is currently 145 points ahead of Checo, 194 ahead of Alonso and 200 up on Lewis. Everyone else is more than 232 back and mathematically out of contention. Assuming Max gets 26 points and Checo comes 2nd then Max will seal his 3rd WDC in Qatar.
Constructor-wise there are 397 points available. RB are 310 ahead of Merc, 355 ahead of Ferrari and 366 ahead of Aston. The earliest RB can wrap it would be Japan.

If RB continue this streak I’d think 2023 will be the least competitive season for F1 to date?

Really enjoyed Monza. It was brilliant seeing Carlos holding of Max and that contest in the beginning untill the pressure got to him, then we had brilliant 2nd,3rd and 4th spot racing. Really happy for the Ferrari fans to have a driver on the podium!
Well done to Max, he is slowly but surely creeping deeper into the history books. Just an absolutely phenomenal talent. (and yes the car is great, we know)

You're entertaining the troll. That car has won every single race this season, I doubt there's ever been a car that dominant. But yeah, it's the driver, the same driver that couldn't win any championships before he had the fastest car on the grid.
Agreed mostly, was a fantastic race.
I think Ham drove pretty well overall, besides that Piastri incident, that was really dumb and unfortunate for Piastri.
Cracker of a race though. Nice to see Max go racing too, I'm sure he enjoyed it a lot more than the usual too. The Ferrari battle was definitely the highlight of the race for me. And Albon defending like a champ. I really wish he'd get a better seat.

In a way I hope he doesn't. He's definitely made a difference in Williams' resurgence. And we need a strong Williams again...

It was very entertaining though, it's good to see the drivers battle it out. Ferrari definitely looked good in that race, pity they couldn't get past at least one rbr.
Yea there's that too, he's been very good for them.

Without the Ferrari drivers racing Monza would’ve been essentially a snoozefest. I’m glad they went at it until the very end.
Yeah, this is what I hope too. Been a Williams fan since the 90's and would love to see them up there again.
I see now he did go and apologize afterwards, so that is a good thing in my book.
I can understand why he is frustrated though, he probably feels he should be fighting for wins not battling it out in the midfield. I do wonder if he has some clause in the new contract that if 2024's car is still not that competitive that he can walk away at the end of next year or will he push through into 2025. Is that 8th title that important for his legacy?
I think he's a racer at heart and enjoys the challenge, but I also think it's tough going from domination to watching your rivals drive off into the distance. I don't see him giving up, but I do think he might call it by 2025 (the next contract expiration) if they're not competitive. On the other hand, he might want to try his hand at the 2026 regs.
Perhaps, I just think RB will probably be in front until 2025. They are at such an advantage in development atm, I can't see any other team catching them. Maybe 2025 will be a competitive year at most.
That is My take on it. He is staying for 2 more years to help develop the new car for the new regulations but has left the option open to switch teams in 2026 if he thinks another team will give him a better shot at the 8th.
