What a wonderful drive from Alonso. He is working so hard for Aston Martin to improve the team and it's starting to show good results this season.

The unfortunate irony though is apparently they've gone back to the spec car that did so well for them earlier on before all the 'upgrades' dumped them down the order.

Why am I watching a French dude who can hardly speak English tell me about customs and shipping freight after an F1 race? 'tsek man, have that in some obscure segment or something.

@Agent_Smith

I agree that the new upgrades did not work for them and going back to last known good config on the car is/was the best thing to do. Alonso did say that these cars are so complex to understand. Lets hope next season we will see even closer racing from a lot of team. Hamilton can't wait to get rid of this years Merc so lets see how things play out in the last two races.

I was wondering why Mclaren did not pit Lando a little sooner or try and pit him before Max in that last stint. Even if it was used softs, at least it would have meant that Max would have had to over take him. Could have been a very interesting last 5 laps for the lead as well. I feel like they are just playing safe atm, they really could have tried to undercut Max and let him push a bit.

Max does it again. Snoozefest without the final couple laps thanks to Alonso and Perez. Lando delivered the maximum he could with the Mclaren.

Max had a 4 or 5 second lead when Lando pitted so I think Red Bull would have just responded straight away to a McLaren stop so they (McLaren) would have derived no benefit. They did the right thing (imo) by staying out hoping for a safety car.
