It's actually one of the things I particularly like about Max. Someonetimes he's a bit emotional, but he generally always says what he means / feels, doesn't really pander to anything.

The opening ceremony was okay as a spectacle, but as a necessary part of the race weekend? Heck no. Klomp kak waste of time.

Necessary imho. With the cost of the tickets and the distances people travel to the races the spectacle plays as much of a part as the racing now. It’s very much evolved over the years as with most sporting events. I’d much rather make a week of it than fly in and out for a few hours each day over the course of a weekend.

But here's my thinking - cut the opening acts, how much can you drop ticket prices? Tickets for the race are like 2x the next highest price, it's madness.

UK commentary - drain cover was secure but frame/manhole was not and came loose. That’s a major oversight - I wonder how many will have to be inspected?!
