Looking at that angle it actually looks like the window licker is turning in too sharply and giving Alonso nowhere to go, the spastic has loads of space on his left.Well it’s contact prior to Lewis that’s why I’m asking what the official theory/version is?

Well if you did not see the lock up you either need glasses or a better internet connection. And where was the lock up you mentioned ?
Yes Stroll was also at fault. He was way on the outside and turned in as if there would be nobody on the inside on the first corner at a race start.Looking at that angle it actually looks like the window licker is turning in too sharply and giving Alonso nowhere to go, the spastic has loads of space on his left.
So race control spot Mercedes but aren't looking when the rest do it?What a bonkers decision in part. Essentially “Well, everyone else was doing it so we can’t penalize you without penalizing them so no action. “
Why not penalize them all?

Talking to yourself now?Yes, lightly. And then Hamilton clatters in to Alonso, who bumps Lance sending him sliding into Norris.
Or, maybe Alonsa could see what was coming and tried to avoid Lewis. If you carry on a bit, you get this - compare the angle of Lewis' car to the other cars. It does look like Lewis went into the corner too fast and couldn't rotate the car quick enough.Well it’s contact prior to Lewis that’s why I’m asking what the official theory/version is?

How stroll came to be where was should also be considered but happy with the fia ruling.Or, maybe Alonsa could see what was coming and tried to avoid Lewis. It’s going to be interesting to see the reaction to this especially considering the position on political statements etcThat solves my dilemma for next year.
Having been a McLaren supporter for at least 30 years I was torn because HAM was joining Ferrari and they are McLarens arch enemy.
I was dubious when Zak Brown took over but continued to support both McLaren and Merladies.
Now that I know that Zak Brown is a Trump Supporter and therefore a right wing extremists the decision is easy.
I can now, with good conscience accept that as of 2025 I will be a Ferrari fan and Zak brow can take what is left of McLaren and fade away.
Damn, just noticed that Trump is carrying a Ferrari Hat.That solves my dilemma for next year.

Were it any other lap then he would have been given a penalty BUT the stewards have painted themselves into this nothing-space where they (un)officially treat Lap 1 Corner 1 incidents differentlyImagine being such a dumbass that you change your team because someone you don't like supports it. Kek. Someone better start counting chromosomes.
In other news, I think the Lewis incident should have been a penalty. He went for the gap which is good, but it was never going to happen so he could fairly have been penalized for it.
Was at wild about whiskey last weekend and there was a party of MAGA supporters (red caps and all) also having a tasting there - was surrealDamn, just noticed that Trump is carrying a Ferrari Hat.
looks like I will just have to abandon F1 and go back to yacht racing - Especially as Newiy is heading in that direction too![]()
