Thats why I hate to say it, Dani Ric is the best support driver in the RedBull
He was doing great in the pointy Redbull, just not up there with Max
His Silverstone test last year secured his seat for Alpha Tauri last year, probably with a chance to get the Redbull seat based on his performance
Unfortunately he has been disappointing in the "junior" team
 



solid video on what reason Red bull has to keep Perez and why they simply dont care if they win the constructors championship.

TLDR, its all marketing, and Perez sells more merch than Max in Latin American countries. Danny wont be promoted. yuki is not good enough.

I pointed this out a number of pages ago. At the time you chose to wear a tinfoil hat.

But why? Ricciardo was only close to him when he was a rookie teenager? The small margins is actually concerning if you think Ricciardo was experienced at that time and Max was just getting into F1 without even driving F2.
Ricciardo's poor form was actually showing then already. Probably why he left RB so fast, knew the next year he would be hammered in times like the other that followed.

I still wear that same hat.
there is no way to disprove that Perez is being kept on the team because the risk of him writing a book exposing redbull is too real.

I accept that he has a marketing influence, but again there are other Drivers that would be able to sell even more in other markets.
Imagine Zhou in a redbull, and the amount of merch sales he will bring in from China.
 
So I heard a rumor that Merc have not signed a driver for 2025 as they still think there is a chance Max might join them. Rumor is that it is believed that even Merc seem to be getting faster than the RB and Max want to see if RB can improve before end of season.

Red Bull are also bringing upgrades, so that also counts towards a Max victory (and perhaps Perez finishing a bit further up the order).

So they'll have to keep him forever then, until he dies of old age. Just so the dirty secrets don't come out...
 
So that leaves Kmag, Danny Ric, Logan, Zhou, Bottas, Carlos and Ocon without a seat for 2025.

I personally think out of that bunch only Ocon and Carlos will still be in F1 next year
 
My predictions now:

Alpine - Gasly and Carlos/Schumacher
Williams - Albon and Carlos/Kimi/Schumacher
Haas - Bearman and Ocon
Kick - Hulk and Ocon/Carlos/Bottas
Merc - Russel and Kimi/Schumacher
Vcarb - Yuki and Lawson

I don't see why any teams will sign Ocon, he is even less of a team player than Sainz. Teams that will sign him like Haas will probably offer next to nothing salary. So will he except it?
 
Depends how desperate he is. Haas and Kick might be his only real options where there wont be too much issues with team mates. At Haas he will have a rookie alongside him so no real danger and he can dream of showing Ferrari how good he is for a 2027 seat LOL

until he choose to retire that is my thoughts.

its the only way to explain how he was signed for 2 more years despite his performance in a team that got rid of so many drivers who were not performing over the last few years. Gasly, Albon, Kiviat, De Vries all kicked because they were performing at the same level that Perez is performing now....
