Being reprimanded for not anticipating a front wheel lockup and avoiding a collission is still ridiculous.Indeed. He didn't do enough to AVOID the collision, is what they said. He could have let max dive bomb past him in flames and then just carry on. He didn't need to stick to his line at all costs. That's what avoiding the collision means. Not that he caused it. Subtle difference there.
It's called telemetry and it's all available to the public. Just google.I wonder if the people on this thread know that F1 have data on everything. They know what every driver and car is doing every meter on a track. They have simulators and all other kinds of technology.
Soap opera commentator much? The teams know Max is way faster than any other driver and Max knows that too.
While there is limits and you must not risk becoming another Alonso. Most teams at this stage will stand with an open checkbook to sign Max. And along with that, most teams will tolerate his outbursts.
Max knows he is the best driver and if his car is so bad that not even he can keep up with the leaders then it is understandable that he gets angry.
Simple as that, they must get him a competitive car(does not have to be fastest) or he will go look somewhere else.
For example. After all what has happened and was said in the past. Look how Toto is constantly trying to defend Max these days, just in a hope of signing him one day for Merc. People will sell their souls to have Max drive for them.
I really did not like this race at all. Perez already p1ssed me of on Saturday with his latest attempt to get fired and then Sunday was just a shyte show from start to finish.
How everything unfolded from Mclaren and RB just both being so unprofessional on the day. Oscar's kiss your sister vicotry..
Sies, not a lekker race.
Redbull is starting to crack at an alarming rate. This is where leadership needs to step in and get things under control. Toto is drooling over this, and I reckon yesterday's nonsense will help steer the Verstappens even more into the Merc camp.
If Perez is still there after summer break, then there is no clear leadership in that team.
And then Norris and the Mclaren team. Wow, my boys, you absolutely left a bitter taste in my mouth. That was tough to watch. The better car by a long shot and you screw ol Oscar's first win like that...
The team started the fiasco, and Lando let it drag out unnecessarily.Lando is the only one to blame for this fiasco. If he immediately gave the place back after the stops there would have been none of these radio messages and hollow victory. Team had a plan and all agreed too it, but he chose to ignore it at make it all about himself.
He has shown the last few races that he is a entitled little drama queen. Constant crying over the radio, scenes after the race, and yet all this from one victory only because of a safety car. What a clown.
That's how it works though. And not just in F1 - eg in sailing:Being reprimanded for not anticipating a front wheel lockup and avoiding a collission is still ridiculous.
Also unable to distinguish between the primary cause of the collision, and secondary causes.Guys, drivers must always make space for Max regardless of what he is doing. We know this. It was definitely Lewis' fault for taking the corner, he should have just locked his brakes and gone straight like Verstappen did.
After this performance, I doubt Mercedes want Max. If anything, Max is driving a wedge between himself and the team. He's a one man demolition derby in the motivation department. His whole team is just crap. He's the only one who tried this weekend - and he did it all with about 3 hours sleep! What a man!Redbull is starting to crack at an alarming rate. Disagree. Even if you consider FIA 12.1.1.c I don't see anything Lewis did as unreasonable in the time period especially considering Max's speed and he plenty of space if he had not locked up.That's how it works though. And not just in F1 - eg in sailing:
14. AVOIDING CONTACT
A boat shall avoid contact with another boat if reasonably possible. However, a right-of-way boat or one sailing within the room or mark-room to which she is entitled need not act to avoid contact until it is clear that the other boat is not keeping clear or giving room or mark-room.
It was perfectly within Hamilton's powers and abiltiy to not hook max's rear wheel with his front wheel.
Nope. Charles is good at putting his hand up when it's his fault. In the F2 race, the pole sitter made an error and apologised to his team. Hamilton did the same at Miami. It’s always someone else’s fault with any F1 driver.
The possibility for a massive shunt was there with the delta between those two cars. You really need a big advantage to overtake at Hungary. I wouldn't be surprised if that was part of the reasoning behind the undercut. Just to keep them apart for a bit.I can't help thinking that if lando had let Oscar past just after the pitstop, when first told to, he had a better than even chance of being able to pass him on track afterwards. He just screwed himself by not allowing himself enough time to make the oveetake.
Drivers shouldn't be having that kind of convo over the radio from the teams perspective. The team started the fiasco, and Lando let it drag out unnecessarily.
Okay, you found 3 examples out of 1000+Nope. Charles is good at putting his hand up when it's his fault. In the F2 race, the pole sitter made an error and apologised to his team. Hamilton did the same at Miami.

I never put you down to being prone to eggageration.Okay, you found 3 examples out of 1000+![]()
All good, I was just joking with the exaggeration. I know there will be several examples. The point I was making is that there are often grey areas to interpret, and the norm for all drivers is to blame the other party, stewards, teams, etc. Overall, drivers seldom admit to making a mistake. This isn't unique to Max, IMHO.I never put you down to being prone to eggageration.
I found those 3 in 5 minutes flat. You can too!
