Max has said numerous times that he doesn't see himself staying in F1 forever and has a keen interest in endurance racing. Would be interesting if this is all true and it hastens his ''retirement'' from F1.

He does seem to be the sort that does not like change too much, so yeah I can see this happening.

It was something about his management. If combined with the pics thing, I'm inclined to think he shared pics of her, which would make it even more stupid...
 
Out of this world scenario ( more close to JC Vaaldamme thinking ) - Horner "leaves" RB, Max signs up with Merc for '25 for say 2 to 3 years, and still manages to beat LH ( or anyone for that matter ) in championships...
 
I think we should leave all this thinking what happened and whats going to happen till the facts come out.
We have had these F1 threads for years and by now we no that nobody here will win a World Championship in Thinking.

It's a discussion about the sport - be it speculation, clown memes, fashion pics or whatever. Or is it just a case of what you want to post is allowed.

Maybe we should just go silent altogether and wait for the first race...
 
F1 going full 'Days of our Lives' with the whole 'Horner Affair'.

In the aftermath of Dietrich Mateschitz's death, there were rumours of a power struggle between Helmut Marko and Christian Horner as to who would become the F1 supremo of Red Bull's F1 operations. These rumours were circulating last year already.

The Horner affair, Jos & Bernie: That's how far the investigation has come​


According to the above article: Jos and Horner are said to not get along. Jos has amassed a fair bit of influence within the team and is in the Marko camp. Max is known to be extremely loyal to both his father and Marko. Red Bull had attempted to handle the allegations against Horner internally and it was recommended that he should resign, indicating that the power balance had shifted within the team in favour of Marko with the support of the Verstappens. The story was leaked and it first broke news in the Dutch media, and specifically by Erik van Haren, the same Dutch journalist involved in the controversial Perez Monaco crash story back in 2022. The speculation is Jos and Camp Verstappen were the source of the leak in order to pile public pressure on Horner. Bernie Ecclestone, a close friend of Horner, entered the fray to try and mediate and it is believed that even he advised Horner to stand down and not let the story drag out.

As much as Horner is a dislikable character, he comes across as not nearly as bad as the village Nazi and Verstappens.
 
The 2024 liveries revealed so far are a bit of a joke. All the cars will have a base exposed carbon with little bits of colour. This "pink" livery is the biggest joke. They took the 3-4 blue bits and made it pink.

I seem to recall them do something similar last year. They started the season with a predominantly pink car for their BWT sponsor and then reverted to the traditional blue of Alpine later. May do the same again this year.

Yes, they had a pink livery for a few races for the past since BWT joined. But there was a distinctive difference between the normal livery and the pink one since the actual base colour changed. This one had minimal change between both.
 
This is comedy gold. The Merc fans so desperately wanted to judge and prosecute Horner, but in doing so they must now support Marko.
