Methinks that you're talking through your ??? For example, Bottas would have been the 2019 world champ if Hamilton was not driving in a good car, or if he had been injured for a number of races...
Yep. Emotions don’t make for good thought processes. There are people who don’t rate Button, yet he’s a WC.

nah dude. Bottas had no chance in 2019. and if LH was injured and missed say the last 5 races, Bottas would have found a way to skrew it up and Max would have ended up being the champion. or even LeClerc. here is a nice graph to show what I mean

to better understand what I mean is replace LH/Alonso/Vettel/Kimi in 2012 with the driver you are considering is a possible champion. that pressure. that close a battle where its more than just the car or the driver, its what the Driver does under pressure. you can even do the same for 2018/2021 season to see what happens under the insane pressure. a true champion keeps their head level and makes no mistakes when there is a lot at stake.
where was bottas in 2021? not close enough.
where was Danny Ric in 2018? in a renault so not fighting at the sharp end.

there is sometimes more shown about the ability of a driver from how they handle pressure than we see when there is nothing at stake.
when Bottas was fighting for his seat for the 2022 season and his only way to keep his seat was to ensure LH became champion he folded under pressure now we have GR there.
when there was fighting for a tight championship in 2012 how did Alonso, Vettel, LH, Shumi and Rossberg handle it? they all gave more than 100% every race and created the greatest season in F1 history.

I said it before and I will say it again. 3 Drivers have the stones to fight and have shown it.
8 more have the potential based on F2 and the fight we have seen in them when the cars are not there.

the other 9 we have seen do not have what it takes to pull it off.

if there is some freaky development innovation that happend over the winter and by some miracle the Hass was a second clear of all the other cars at every track then sure Kmag/Hulk could become a champ, but the chances of that happening are as likely as the chances of me getting pregnant. in a competative season with multiple cars that are all fighting for the poles and wins every week there will be a clear seperation between those who can and those who cant. and until we get that repeat of the 2012 season we wont know.

Definitely giving the Mercedes / Hamilton boys a hard on.

I am not a Red Bull supporter, but Christian Horner really provided character to the sport. Would be a shame to lose him.
Sounds like he might have been providing a bit than character outside the sport.... Hopefully the investigation will be concluded soon and everyone can move on.

RPM's take on the Horny scandal. Only saw this now, not sure if it's been posted already.

I don't listen to, read or watch any thing, especially not from bloggers and social media, unless they fact check rather than making up stories just for the limelight.
He has no idea what it is all about and neither does anybody else, that is why it is not headline news on BBC, CNN etc.
Only the tabloids and motorsports media are running with it.
So let's rather focus on the actual cars, testing and the start of the 2024 season, until we have some verified facts, a confession or a formal finding.
And P.S. I am not a CH fan but nobody should be tried and executed in the social media.
To the best of my knowledge no charges have been made.

I fully agree. until it is fact there is no point in an opinion being shared about what could be.

i am a full blown hater of Horner and I still agree he should not be judged on hearsay, the facts will be the final decider when its eventually released.

that being said trying to prevent media outrage and providing no factual information to go off is causing this to spiral more and more out of control. I believe RB should be handling this differently, but not sure what they can do other than release the facts. guilty or not the Truth is going to come out eventually

RPM is a parody youtuber, it's not meant to be news.

OMG
The people on this thread that found RB guilty of all kinds of cheating before any facts was given on budget cap, now wants to wait for the facts.

But they were guilty.

Also, that's a very different thing. That's a breach of the rules, whereas this is potentially a personal and HR issue affecting a specific person - more tact and class is required in these circumstances.

Honestly, I think we'd all appreciate this not being true as it would mean some form of abuse occurred.

Don't suppose anyone knows where to buy F1 merchandise that doesn't bankrupt you? Been looking at basic shirts, but finding one that would cost less than R1500 doesn't seem possible

You will probably be able find several MB shirts in the Second hand and Charity shops next year  ;):)

Last year DSTV had zero live coverage for testing - this week's online TV Guide shows zero again.

Thank goodness for F1TVPro
