Statement from Red Bull Austria​

“The independent investigation into the allegations made against Mr Horner is complete, and Red Bull can confirm that the grievance has been dismissed. The complainant has a right of appeal. Red Bull is confident that the investigation has been fair, rigorous and impartial. The investigation report is confidential and contains the private information of the parties and third parties who assisted in the investigation, and therefore we will not be commenting further out of respect for all concerned. Red Bull will continue striving to meet the highest workplace standards.”

"... FIA race director Niels Wittich has issued updated guidance to drivers in his latest attempt to avoid potentially dangerous interactions between cars during qualifying. Several near-misses have occurred in recent seasons involving drivers at speed and others going slowly to cool their tyres or power units.

The sport’s governing body attempted to regulate this last year by requiring drivers to stay below a maximum time between the pit lane exit and entry. The new push takes that approach a step further.

From this weekend, the drivers’ pace relative to that lap time will be measured at every marshalling post around the lap. This should reduce the possibility for large speed differences between cars to occur during qualifying and pre-race reconnaissance laps.

The updated regulations state: “For the safe and orderly conduct of the event, other than in exceptional circumstances accepted as such by the stewards, to ensure that cars are not driven unnecessarily slowly on any lap during and after the end of the qualifying session (including in-laps and out-laps) or during reconnaissance laps when the pit exit is opened for the sprint or race, drivers must stay on or below the maximum time set by the FIA ECU at least once in each marshalling sector and at both the first and second safety car lines (a marshalling sector is defined as the section of track between each of the FIA light panels).

“Any driver that exceeds the maximum time set by the FIA ECU may be deemed to be going unnecessarily slowly.” ..."

It’s all nice to say this but implementing it will be another issue. If 1 or 2 drivers do it, they may be penalised somehow. If all/most of the drivers do it in a session, nothing will happen.
 
Kym Illman says most of the paddock knows who the female accuser is. Wonder if the full accusation will ever become known publicly.

Give it a week. The uk press will hack someone’s voicemail or email or social media or something and find out… nature of the beast. If he’s legitimately cleared then he’s in the clear.

From the beginning the speculation was that the nazi and the women beater wanted him out, so it was probably bull from the start.
My money is on this one.

I love how this started as "Sexual Assault" and every one lost their minds making it sound like he raped a girl or something, then it became he sent pictures, now its an "Aggressive management style"

Sounds like a lot of "Nothing really happened but we were so desperate for F1 drama we made some"

I'm just saying if it was swept under the rug the UK press will probably uncover it. I have no issue with Horner being cleared as there's no evidence to suggest otherwise.

I don't think anyone reported it as sexual assault or rape. As for aggressive management style well that's just corporate speech. I seriously doubt the whole saga is manufactured drama though.

I don't ever think it was reported as that either, but people on the internet don't care about the facts, some calling for him to be arrested because they are 100% sure he is guilty of whatever. It looks like this was a small thing that could have been handled internally, that got swept up in the media and made something MUCH larger than it was ever supposed to be with people saying its a conspiracy theory for Helmut Marko to take over the team.

It is insane how quick people jump to conclusions and just run with them, after the first report the facts don't matter and we just make **** up
