Max will have no competition as long as management build the team around him. Everyone else on the grid knows that.

Yes as a 17 year old rookie he made mince meat of his teammate Sainz. So is Sainz a bad driver?
Then he went to RB and after a couple of years made Daniel Ricciardo run away. This is the same Ricciardo that gave Vettel headaches.
Then he made a fool of Albon. And we see how high Albon is rated here.
Then he went on to Perez. Well go look at how well Perez was against any teammate he had in the past. Go look what positions Perez got on the Drivers table in the Racing point and Force India. He was a star in the making till he met Max.
So all the haters can go on and on. The facts tells a different story. The RB might be a bit faster than the rest, but that is marginal. Max Verstappen is the difference, he has no competition.

None of the dominants periods are good at getting or keeping fans other than those already invested, but a first race with such a dominant win by the dominant team gives nobody anything to look forward too, not even the RB Fans, let alone any new fans wanting some excitement. Did anyone other than the second red bull actually pull off an overtake maneuver or even attempt one? even among the back markers? I may have fallen asleep already.

The commentators and paddack reporters are even scraping the barrel for things to talk about.

So if it satisfied your standard of entertainment then great, but I doubt it will retain many more.

Trying to keep it at a level you’ll understand.

Max is an excellent driver. He’s driving fantastically. To say nobody else is near him is silly. The difference in cars isn’t marginal, it’s massive. Half a second a lap. That’s huge I’m more racing. Of course he’s also driving excellently and maximizing that advantage, but to discount it as “marginal” is foolhardy at best.

Using Perez as a metric is pointless, he just isn’t that great. He’s good, but they all are. Some are excellent. He’s not in that camp.

I doubt anybody will have a rookie season as good as Hamilton anytime soon yet some okes just hate on Hamilton.

Again, I never said he was not talented, just said that the gap would not be as big if others had as nearly equally powerful machinery.

Yet before your kindergarten response I used all his previous teammates as a metric, all failed and all was not good according to you? Sainz, Perez, Albon Ricciardo?
Yes Max is half a second a lap faster, nobody else.
People that are in F1 their whole lives and signs a 17 year old and now give him more money then anybody else, must be stupid then. They just do it because they like him, not because he is half a second a lap faster than the rest.

F1 is as much about contacts and politics as much as talent. Plenty of worthy drivers did not make it to the grid because they lack that even though they have the talent.
