“Let them race” lasts about 2 races in all honesty. When the drivers are equally capable, the order needs to be established quickly else you are wasting an opportunity for good strategies.
And that order is not going to change. Charles isn't relegating himself to #2 to someone just coming into the team, or Ferrari may find themselves replacing him too. So it's going to be "let them race"...

True, most drivers also wouldn’t.

Just stating that a smart move is to establish the order (regardless of who is No.1 or No.2), helps the team with priorities during the race. E.g. Redbull.

Agree 100%, and remember it affects their salaries, Charles is no where on the same salary as Lewis

Currently Lewis is 2nd highest salary earner and Charles is 5th

I saw one of the Red Bull cars many years ago in Killarney probably around 2010. Extremally loud

Ferrari being Ferrari. Emotionally driven team. Throw spaghetti at wall... see if it sticks. I can only imagine what Charles will have to say if he beats Lewis in Y1 lol.
That's not an unrealistic scenario though. Charles if already familiar with the car and the way the team works. There won't be major changes. Lewis will have to come to grips with all of that. He's proven himself adaptable, but I would expect Charles to have the advantage.

Charles definitely has the advantage in 25, 26 will be a reset for everyone so that will be interesting.

Yea, that's what I'm really excited for. Pretty much everyone except Haas could be competitive that year.

For sure. Though that wasn't the case with Nando and I rate Nando of a decade ago a notch above Charles. In Lewis' rookie year he raced an F1 car for the first time in his life.

I found the ideal picture for the Ferrari fans to use as their avatar.
