i use kodi and sports HD add on and watch on the sky f1 channel

it has great coverage and doesnt warrant me to want to pay for f1 tv

Just the commentators on Sky would be enough for me to warrant to pay for F1tv, I can't stand the Sky broadcasters lately

i have only listened to them and not really taken note of they bias ways

Obviously not listened too closely then. I prefer the F1tv guys as they don't normally go off on a tangent for half the race most of the time. But to each their own I guess.

Yeah I feel like Carless has been a bit hard done by at Ferarri considering he seems just as good if not better than the golden boy, so definitely interested to see where he goes

I also think he was better than Charlie last year. The Vegas sewer hole really fcked him and he probably would have ended higher than Charlie on points.

Charles will probably win a championship at some point in his career, but he is too inconsistent to make that happen at the moment. Carless is a lot more consistent and methodical in the way he approaches things, so I would imagine he would be the better driver to have if you are looking to get good points on the board

I can see him doing well under Merc tbh. He is still young but also quite experienced by now. Given that he is being looked at for the Audi seat in 2026, I wonder if he might not take a year off?

Yeah i wouldn't mind if he takes the Merc seat, I think that will suit him well if they can give him the car to challenge for second at least

My take on the Charles-Carlos debate:

Charles: High ceiling, but error-prone and inconsistent, so he doesn't always race to his potential. On his day, probably the only driver that could match Max for raw pace. His ability to win a world championship hinges on him finding consistency (and a fast car).
Carlos: Lower ceiling, but a steady hand and tends to drive to his potential on a more consistent basis. Likely won't win a championship, but he is the ideal #2 and will put a car where it belongs without setting the world on fire. Strong Barrichello vibes from him.

There might be a number of open seats for 2025

Aston - Alonso possibly retiring
RB - Checo might not get a contract extension
Williams - Logan Sargeant might be given the boot if he costs the team another $4 mil
Merc - seat open
Haas - might not extend Hulkenbergs and/or Magnussen's contract.
Racing Bulls - Danny Ric's seat might be open if he gets pushed into the RB team or if he does not perform.
Stake F1 - Bottas and Zhou contracts also expiring, might not get extension. Audi might start looking at getting their driver pair ready for 2026.

Also quite a few contracts that need to be renegotiated which should make the musical chairs a lot more interesting

How does the quality of the racing determine whether you use f1tv or pirate streams?
I am not going to pay to watch something that provides me no value. if there is no close fight it is not entertaining and not worth my money.

not really a difficult thing to understand is it? good quality entertainiment deserves to be paid for.
boring things that do not entertain do not deserve to be paid for. I am not going to pay to watch one team dominate, I didnt in the Merc era and I wont do it now.
