Are you sure that is not an old Post?

I recall watching the F1 Academy race last weekend with Doriane Pin winning and Abby Pulling a close second.
There is a race this weekend too but I thought it was the second race not a replay of the first race.
I am busy recovering from eye surgery so whatever they have in those eye drops must be potent if I imagined a race a week ahead but here it is from today's Sky TV guide:.

Friday 11:55 am

Length 1 hour 15 mins

The opening race of the 2024 F1 Academy season at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. The first qualifying session of the season belonged to Doriane Pin, who took both pole positions. (08.03)

I must have been watching yesterday's quali sessions whilst waiting for the surgeon.....

Lay off the eye drops man, you're clearly not cut out for them :p

So Sainz is out due to appendicitis needing surgery, 18 year old Oliver Bearman takes his place

Dude gets one practice session before quali.

What could go wrong.
Popping your cherry on an Imola-speed track with no run off.

I say he fu$#'s it into the wall.

Or a drain cover. Traditions....

I joked yesterday when there was a post about Carlos being I'll and Ollie taking his seat.

Feel for them both actually

I also think he bins it. But if not, could be fun. Great opportunity for him.

About as well as can be expected for someone who has his amount of experience. It would be a win if he can get some points...
That would be impressive. Honestly, finishing the race at this track would be impressive and more than enough I think.

Yeah. I suspect his brief will be to just keep it out of the wall and bring the car home in one piece. Any points he picks up will likely be considered a bonus.

Ferrari didn't look that great during FP. Perhaps a chance for Mercs and Astons to get onto podium?

So Sainz might be out for a few weeks then? Perhaps miss Australia as well.
