Driver of the day to Lewis. RB rocket delivered again. Great Ferrari wheel to wheel squabble. Lando schooled today. Gutted for Fernando.
Driver of the day shared between Lewis and Alonso. How did Alonso hold them back that long?

And Charles… balls of steel.
I’d say good move by Perez, it was, but why he couldn’t get past earlier in the same car Max has…

For me, Alonso not defending against Max was disappointing although probably the right thing to do. As for Perez he didn't have clean air and probably couldn't keep the tires in it. One thing is that Charles has a knack of avoiding a collision second to none when being pushed off the track.

Not sure how he would have been able to defend against Max. Long straight, DRS. There’s nothing to defend when you’re on a straight that long. This is why DRS sucks.

Said it before I’d prefer people defending their position for all it’s worth rather than a calculated race just letting the rockets by especially for podium positions. I expected at least something from Alonso - disappointing that he didn’t even attempt to get his elbows out.

But it’s not even a calculated race. When you have a car that’s 20kmph faster than you, are you going to ram it off the road?

He got his elbows out against the Ferrari's, and see where that got him

Because he gave them clean air after allowing Max to pass. I’m just not a huge fan of motor racing that sets effort based on who the challenger is especially when it’s for position.
