the road narrows there in that kink, it would be helluva dangerous if two cars can't go through there side-by side, a high-speed crash there would be horrendous.

The sheer brilliance of strategists to plan what pace to drive not only to keep gaps for possible pit stops and other teams pit stops, but also not to slow down too much to get tires to cold and also for tires to last the distance.

Just think how a small boy sat with his father watching people race in their town and dreaming of one day racing and winning there themself.
The greatest Podium ever, even the Prince shed a tear and even joined singing the Italian anthem. The sheer joy on Charles's and Fred's face. And the Prince getting his own bottle of Champagne and joining the celebrations.

Monaco is not about the fans, it is for the Sponsor's.

That is the event where the Teams wine, dine and party with sponsor's to say thanks and to sign them up for another year or two. So yes, it may be boring for the adrenalin junkies, but it is an essential part of the season and a lot of teams depend on it to continue footing the bill for the more exciting races.
