The worst is he ends up further ahead in the points than Lando and penalty had zero effect. Max’s race craft and wheel to wheel racing ability seems to be being questioned / discussed again on social media and by F1 pundits…
 
Funny when Max and Leclerc had great battles we did not hear any of this nonsense.
But O my when a British driver is involved everyone is at fault and the British driver was always done in or not at fault.

2019 Max did the same to Leclerc on the same spot, no penalty. Max went on to win.
 
Red Bull/Maxjust got the better of McLaren today. McLaren were pitting behind Verstappen every time to try get them to wait and lose time/penalty in the pits and it worked once.

So it wasn't pure racing from McLaren. And then he did dive bomb Max, he almost caused a crash himself a lap or two before by running off track from the inside line.

Not gonna say Max is innocent here but Lando lost this race. All he had to do was not ram his front right into Max after they went off and he would've been in front by more than 5s. Lando could've avoided that whole crash if he wanted to.

End of the day the world champion was the one who finished the race and that's how you win championships - you finish races, you score points.

But that's just my armchair 2c

HUH? Max did what Lando did to him today, dived to the inside, but with more control. If Leclerc avoided the collision like Max did today, max probably would had to give the position back.
So not the same as this Lando and Max collision.
And was the British media in uproar? Or just when an British driver is involved?

Go watch it slowly. LOL Max is far ahead and turning into the corner. What must he do? Drive straight? Its a corner and you turn.
Then Lando comes diving in too fast. Max has to swerve 3 meters left of the track. If Max did not swerve they would have collided and Lando would get a penalty for causing a collision.

But then when they collided. Max "maybe" moved 10cm to the left to make the corner. There was still enough space left for Lando. But unlike Max who swerved 3m to avoid, Lando did not want to swerve 10cm.

BS penalty.

Rubbish, Max was doing crazy moves running Lando off the road not once but quite a few times. A collision was inevitable, and Lando was absolutely right to complain. These are pro drivers, they know the rules backwards, they know when maneuvers are illegal. The craziest one was Max maneuvering in front of Lando while they both had punctures.

Again this is Schumi and Hill vibes.

I think you do not know F1.
When they just hit Max's tire burst and he went over the curbs with front right wheel in the air and had no control. But if you bias British you would see it as him maneuvering in front of Lando.
He then joins the track and like a proper F1 driver that knows the rules, he moves off the racing line to the right so not to interfere with fast upcoming cars. Lando then tries to pass him even further on the right? How ridiculous. But if you bias British fan you would see that as Max maneuvering in front of Lando and not going off the racing line.
 
When Max doesnt win everyone talking same as the threads in all forums.
