Also interesting that I have pointed out a few times the last year or two how Hamilton went of track and passed cars/gained an advantage on the first corner. Never did commentators or members here say it is a problem and said it is just a first corner incident. Today when that happened to Max, it was suddenly not a first corner incident.

Thanks.

So happy for Oscar on his first Sunday win. That boy is class. So measured and calm on the radio. A far cry from the rest of them. Well deserved. 7 different winners this year. F1 is becoming almost as unpredictable and exciting as MotoGP.

Verstappen tells critics to “f*** off” after Hungarian GP

Speaking after the race, having felt McLaren was out of reach as it secured a 1-2 and that third place was his optimal result, Verstappen was pressed for a reaction to his critics saying he went too far in the race and disrespected his Red Bull squad over team radio.

He replied: "They can all f*** off."

This is why I like Max

Just wait for the expert analysis essay being written. I'm sure it will be posted shortly...

What a class A knobhead.

I’d be interested to hear what more they think / suggest Lewis could’ve done to not have the collision…
Not turn/move under braking?
That is exactly what I said at the Austrian GP when Max was pointed out for moving under braking a few times before they collided. He moves under braking because he is turning into the corner. You know you have to actually follow the track.
So now that they cried that Max "moved" under braking for just turning into a corner, the same must apply to the rest?

Verstappen, the most unlikeable f1 champ in history. Geezes I can't stand him

Maybe to you. So he had an off race, bitched more (or rather, the TV director gave his spiced up radio messages more airtime than others'). Except for the frustration he verbalised and the semi poor judgment of that Hamilton collision (stewards state he braked exactly where he did the previous lap), what exactly did he do that's so wrong? Offend people with his words between him and his team?

He is a chop

Nah, they were already alongside when Max did his trademark divebomb, locked up and went off almost taking Lewis’s front wheel and suspension with him.

Didn’t he lock up and slide in that incident?

In a statement issued by the stewards, the FIA said: “On the approach to Turn 1, both Car 44 [Hamilton] and Car 1 [Verstappen] overtook Car 23 [Alex Albon].
“Car 44 returned to the racing line before the braking zone and commenced to turn into Turn 1. Car 1 approached the turn faster than on previous laps (due to DRS) and braked at the same point as previously.

“The driver of Car 1 argued that Car 44 was changing direction under braking. The driver of Car 44 stated that he was simply following his normal racing line (which was confirmed by examination of video and telemetry evidence of previous laps).

It was clear that Car 1 locked up both front wheels on the approach to Turn 1 prior to any impact occurring but missing the normal cornering line for a typical overtaking manoeuvre.

“The driver of Car 44 stated that this was a racing incident, whilst the driver of Car 1 argued that this was a case of changing direction under braking.

The Stewards do not consider this to be a typical case of “changing direction under braking” although it is our determination that the driver of Car 44 could have done more to avoid the collision.

“Accordingly, we determine that no driver was predominantly to blame and decide to take no further action.”

So what you stated earlier - he shouldn't be doing sim racing at 3am before an F1 race.

Yes look at Austria, the second time Norris tried to overtake him. Norris dive bomb on inside, the same as what Max did today. Only difference is Max swerved to avoid the contact. And then you all and Norris first complained Max moved under breaking and then that he gained an advantage for leaving the track. He left the track because he avoided the dive bomb.
Exactly the same scenario, you all are just moving the goal posts and blame Max from both sides of the same scenario.
