Would be seriously disappointing if that were the case.
Tsunoda or Lawson? Apparently Lawson is tipped as the favourite to replace Perez in 2025 which sounds absolutely crazy. Makes me wonder who will be in that 2nd VCARB seat next to Tsunoda... Hadjar? Lindelof?

That settles it then I suppose.

RB might sit with two open seats for 2026. Think Checo will probably retire end of 2025 to go spend time with his fam and Max more than likely will hop into a Merc.

2025 will be a Mclaren/Ferrari fight with RB and Merc picking up some victories here and there.
I don't think Max is going anywhere in the next 3 years tbh. As for Checo we'll shall wait and see. The curious part is why they replaced Ricciardo early with Liam - it could be that they're gauging Tsunoda vs Liam for Checo's seat or they favour Liam for that seat and need to get him race fit but who knows...

I think 2025 will be an exciting year for F1 and my view is that it'll be a minimum three way but possibly a four way fight.

Liam had an existing contract with Redbull. One of the points in the contract was, that if Liam wasn't promised a seat for 25 by mid September, he would be a free agent.

Now I know that doesn't mean he had to have a seat this year already.

But, I think the previous plan was to get rid of Checo during the "break", and just as it was suppose to happen, something else intervened and Checo got to keep his seat. Speculation was it was Liberty Media that intervened but who knows.

Anyways, this just seems to be, plan B. For some reason, Redbull do not want to promote Tsunoda to the main team. Not that his outbursts are any worse than Max, but I guess they just think he is too immature still. So they possibly need to see if Liam will eventually make to the main team.

It looks like, nowadays, skill is not the only thing that matter in F1, consistency combined with skill is what matter. Something that Max excels at. On a side note, Charles been very consistent this season too...unlike his car that went up and down in performance. This is also what Lando lacks, and for now Piastri also needs to work on his consistency.
