So, I see there is a rumour that Colapinto's performances could trigger a late minute shuffle in the driver's market.

The X account is a reputable Spanish F1 journalist.

[@VirutasF1] There is a carambola for Franco Colapinto to stay in F1 next year, but a few things have to happen. Two-way movement, one going and one coming. And sponsors who will have a say.

'Carambola' is apparently an Argentinian expression that loosely translates to ''lucky chance''.

I guess Valterri will be getting another "Valterri, its James...." message
well James is now with Williams. and Matia Binotto is going to be team principal for Audi and he is starting with Sauber next year already so he is the one who signed Hulk.....

With all the confirmations it can only be Sauber/Audi unless Aston decide to do the right thing. RB could be a wildcard though like what happened with Checo.

I would imagine James would want to make it a driver loan to whoever snaps him up.

I hope so too and kudos to James Vowles for giving him the chance.
It's honestly looking like a stroke of genius. This kid has a bright future, and he's only 21!

He's basically set the entire F1 world on fire, that Brazil GP is just going to be crazy as if Senna were racing again

Wouldn't be at all surprised to see Argentina rekindle their interest in hosting an F1 race should Colapinto's rise continue. Mexico and The Netherlands have cashed in hugely on Checo and Max's popularity.

Wonder if they could use their current MotoGP track

The layout and length make it seem feasible but I'd imagine it would have to be brought up to code, safety wise. F1 safety requirements (sand traps, techpro barriers etc) would be quite different to MotoGP I'd wager.

@Ouballie2 What is your opinion? Red Bull will not always be a top team, Williams will not always be a mid-tier team. Red Bull is trending down while Williams is trending up. We have seen the crazy things from Colapinto in that 2024 Williams, we haven't yet seen what Sainz can pull in a 2025/26 Williams. We also aren't sure what effect Ford will have on Red Bull, it might be bad because it will be Ford's first F1 engine in 20 or so years. And rumours are that the 2026 Mercedes engine (that Williams will use) is looking mighty... If Williams puts Colapinto in that 2026 car next Sainz they might suddenly look like contenders.
