Norris should have got a black flag for ignoring yellow flags.
The young rookies have quickly faded the last couple of races. And the two grandpas should really retire.

Before the weekend, the media stated that having the F2 director handle the F1 sessions and race as well would be too much and they were right.
Exciting race, but absolutely shocking race control by the race director. It should have been a VSC or SC within 1 lap to clear that mirror.
But, from a spectator point of view, it certainly made the race exciting.
Hat tip to Max for lifting for the double yellows even without a yellow light panel, whereas Lando went full send and you could see how the gap between Lando and Max closed on that lap to 1.3s because of it.

None of the drama would’ve occurred if the FIA did their job rather than waiting for chaos. It was on for a great race end between Norris and Max. As for grandpas Lewis still ended 12th with and Russell got stuck behind Alonso.

I completely agree about the RD mess up (posted about it in real time too), but Lando's error wasn't as a result thereof. He would've been penalised even if the mirror was removed immediately.

If they can introduce more variety in teams in WRC it'll bring that sport alive. But watching 2-3 teams compete..

If my understanding is correct the marshalls on track immediately make the flag decision after which RD makes a call on how to clear up (VSC, SC etc).
