The alternative would be to call it the English GP, in which case, if you are using country names rather than to overall federation, then the US Grand Prix should be renamed GP of Texas, Miami the GP of Florida and Las Vegas, the GP of Nevada.

Technically, great Britain does not include Ireland.

It's just England, Wales and Scotland.

Then you get the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
 
Hadjar has had a terrible weekend.
His F1 test yesterday was a disaster and now he has stalled out of F2 and thrown away his championship.
I think he has probably just lost his F1 seat for next year. He will be lucky to even be a sim driver.

Sport transcends politics sometimes.
Like Irish cricket and rugby teams consisting of players from both Irelands. Or a united Korea soccer team.

That said I'm not sure why anyone would want to change the name of the Great British GP
