It’s a high pressure seat but I’d bet RB simply wants a consistent result. They have a championship driver so it’s just ensuring a constructors too. The only question is if the driver they choose decides 2nd seat isn’t enough in the short term.
 
Now where's that guy who said we shouldn't be stupid to run off the rumor mill...during the off season :)

Disappointed but not surprised that Yuki isn't in. Can't imagine how gutted he is as well.

As I have stated before, Yuki is a Honda placement. He will leave the entire RB stable end of next year....... Maybe he replaces Stroll or Fernando at AM to keep their 2026 engine supplier happy.
 
ahhh I liked Checo he seems like a perfectly normal human, although he fell to pieces this year, maybe because of his new family and all that who knows.

Really wanted to see if Yuki could shine in the RB, next time. Liam will be a good fit, he's got the balls and the mouth / arms to not give an eff. sort of like Max, this should be great fun to watch on track.

People need to remember first and foremost that Formula 1 racing is a business, and they're in business to make money.... fan boys don't seem to understand that part.

This is the going theory yes.
My hunch is that they will shove Stroll to WEC and stick Yuki in that seat. Then after 2026 Alonso could retire and Drugovich should *finally* get the drive
