Ferrari only does well when there is a French team principle.

but a French team Principle usually takes 4 years at the team to get the team to click.

so Ferrari 2026 has a shot, provided that the engine can keep up wiht the Merc Engine.

red Bull with a ford Engine?
ASton wiht a Honda Engine?

if I was a driver I would aim for a Merc Engine or a Ferrari engine.

and the fact that LH moved to Ferrari tells me that the Ferrari engine will be the better choice, he makes the moves to the best engine, and Alonso makes the move to the bad engine. it is just how it works.

so my feeling is Honda will not be great, Ferrari will be very good, and Merc will be good.

I can see him coming back to F1 maybe in 2026. leaving now means he can be on 6 months of gardening leave so he can partner with Aston and Honda again.

overall, i think horner will look at this as a blessing in disguise in a few months/years
 
All you need now is for Max to jump ship and RBR is the has been team of yesteryear.

Daddy wouldn't let Lance out mid-season, but then again, both Newey and Alsonso does not like Lance
