that Sauber does look good.
pity we will only see it in free practice, Q3 and the grid walk. every other time we see it there will be something negative about it, breakign down, being lapped, retired out or somethign like that

Cringey moments:
Machine Gun Kelly's little F1 rap ditty
The overall unserious spectacle. It was a bit like a high-school musical.
Alpine's DJ... seriously cringe

Awesome moments:
FIA being boo'ed.

One of the most cringey moments was Racing Bulls video. Thankfully their livery reveal more than made up for it 🤩

The Redbull vid and intro was totally cringy. Like a bunch of kids.
Inviting Gordon Ramsey to Jamie's Italian after the show was epic hahaha.

If they do something similar next year I hope they tone down the cringe, dial up the classy/flashy vibe, and focus more on the cool aspects of it all. I feel like Sauber, Ferrari, McLaren, Haas and Williams all understood the assignment.

Aston Martin was the kid in the back of the class daydreaming -- They nearly had something but I feel like they just undershot it. Maybe if they had an official 007 tie-in it could have worked damn well, especially if they had Daniel Craig as 007 and Adele singing Skyfall. What they presented felt like the Temu version of 007.

Alpine was that kid in the back corner literally asleep at his desk while crucial information was given

Interesting to see how much the brits are into Ferrari. It wasn't just Lewis getting the cheers. Charles is very pop there too.

Don't even think he's an actual DJ. Brian Tyler is a composer - he's the guy behind the F1 theme. Bit odd he got so much time.

Wait that DJ dude was Brian Tyler? LMAO, I thought it was some random Scandinavian DJ I'd never heard of lol

For the guys not yet subbed to F1TV, here's how you can get away with 8 months subscription for the entire race calendar:

Obviously don't pull the trigger too early (Friday) for rounds 5, 11 and 16 as you want it to be active for race day at least. Yet to confirm: if I start today (19th), does it end at midnight on the 18th of the following month? Or is it 30 days...
At R106 per month, that's R848 for the year, a saving of R202.

For R202 it's probably worth just doing the year so you can watch at any time you like.

monthly or yearly?

bcasue monthly means you waste 2 months where you pay for a service and there are no live races.

Last year I did monthly because I did not want to pay for a repeat of 2023. turned out to be a good deal because I canceled after summer break and before the month off randomly and just sbscribed again when racing was back.

I don’t know hey, I feel their whole thing matched their entire brand personality perfectly and it was well done for that.

Aston Martin’s was a bit weird and I realise it wanted to play into being British but fell a bit flat there.

Ferrari was the most on the mark I reckon.
