I forced myself to watch the F1 show, but it's definitely not my cup of tea, and it is aimed more towards the Gen Z and later crowd, getting the 20 somethings to follow F1 has been their mission for a while. I definitely don't need to be lured to watch F1 with a shiny show and to convince me it's any good. I'm from another era completely where you had to read a newspaper, magazine or listen to the radio to get any news on F1.
I don't know any of the performers (thank goodness for that), nor do I know any of the presenters and MC who appear to be Gen Z types, and nor do I care to, 'cause they can't tell me nothing about F1. I will however listen to Martin Brundle and I did recognize Mario Andretti and Sir Jackie Stewart... hooray!
Anyhow, I do like VCARB's livery, it's a breath of fresh air actually, and white is always easy on the eye.
I did enjoy Aston Martin's animation sequence with all the cars.
I did enjoy Ferrari's launch, and it's clear to see who will win the titles this year.
They say the F1 movie will be authentic... it might be the case, but a 60 year old racing driver coming out of retirement to mentor a rookie in F1 and race along side him, nope! The rookie needs a babysitter, if the rookie is not able to race without a guy who comes out of retirement to come and race beside you, you need to quit racing boy. Sure, you can have people, former racers giving advice and such, many do, but this takes it to another level. The whole time I'm thinking, there's some real good news here for Fernando Alonso then, he can continue racing for another 15 years.
Anyhow, bring on some testing!
