Aston Martin’s was a bit weird and I realise it wanted to play into being British but fell a bit flat there.
You missed the whole point there.
James Bond put Aston Martin on the world stage by choosing the Aston Martin DB4 (prototype of the famous DB5) as James Bond's car. Bond went on to become a global phenomena and carried the Aston Martin brand with it and does to this day, despite having made occasional concessions to sponsors from other brands.
So to use the 007 Brand in an International Launch plays off that association, not the British aspect.

monthly or yearly?

bcasue monthly means you waste 2 months where you pay for a service and there are no live races.

Last year I did monthly because I did not want to pay for a repeat of 2023. turned out to be a good deal because I canceled after summer break and before the month off randomly and just sbscribed again when racing was back.
That's the exact reason why month to month is king

Nah I got that, it’s all just very much the same thing to me.

3x Ferrari engine cars in this pic, only Ferrari have a new triangle airbox... 👀

I forced myself to watch the F1 show, but it's definitely not my cup of tea, and it is aimed more towards the Gen Z and later crowd, getting the 20 somethings to follow F1 has been their mission for a while. I definitely don't need to be lured to watch F1 with a shiny show and to convince me it's any good. I'm from another era completely where you had to read a newspaper, magazine or listen to the radio to get any news on F1.

I don't know any of the performers (thank goodness for that), nor do I know any of the presenters and MC who appear to be Gen Z types, and nor do I care to, 'cause they can't tell me nothing about F1. I will however listen to Martin Brundle and I did recognize Mario Andretti and Sir Jackie Stewart... hooray!

Anyhow, I do like VCARB's livery, it's a breath of fresh air actually, and white is always easy on the eye.
I did enjoy Aston Martin's animation sequence with all the cars.
I did enjoy Ferrari's launch, and it's clear to see who will win the titles this year.

They say the F1 movie will be authentic... it might be the case, but a 60 year old racing driver coming out of retirement to mentor a rookie in F1 and race along side him, nope! The rookie needs a babysitter, if the rookie is not able to race without a guy who comes out of retirement to come and race beside you, you need to quit racing boy. Sure, you can have people, former racers giving advice and such, many do, but this takes it to another level. The whole time I'm thinking, there's some real good news here for Fernando Alonso then, he can continue racing for another 15 years.

Anyhow, bring on some testing!

I was happy to see they are actually using real footage in a lot of the movie and just super-imposing the liveries over the real ones afterwards.

Turns out during last season they swopped a lot of the 720p broadcast cameras on the cars for full resolution ones instead so there should be quite a bit of authentic stuff with fake "storyline" elements propped on top.

Did you watch a Matt Amys video yesterday by any chance?
