How hard is it to understand that non of the big teams want him. He is not a team player. Merc did not want him, Ferrari dropped him and Red bull also did not want him
Hey, take it up with F1s official commentator. Perhaps he knows less than you which is why he’s finding it hard to not understand…

Valtteri Bottas is set to complete a TPC test with McLaren today in Barcelona.
He’ll also serve as a reserve driver for the team.
Total Plate Count (TPC) is a method of estimating the total number of microorganisms (mold, yeast, bacteria) in a material. The research begins with dilution phase of the sample until it reaches 10-5 dilution.

Who could poach him? Only possible team is RB if Yuki flops but that would cost them a ton.
If he even want's that cursed seat in the first place. Why leave a team that's on the up which you played a part in getting there.

The only way RB starts becoming an option for other leading drivers is when Max eventually leaves...

I like the take that Lawson is paying the price for Perez not being involved enough in the car's development.

If Verstappen's side is providing insightful feedback and delivering on points while the Perez side is more subtle about it, the technical development almost has no choice but to gravitate towards Verstappen.

And since Verstappen himself raised concerns in 2022, Newey is hardly 100% blameless.

I sincerely hope Tsunoda pulls this off though. As good as Max is he cannot be the only one on that grid with this unique driving style/ability to cope with this car.

I have seen a few people on Youtube say that Yuki's driving style is more similar to Max so he would be more suited to the redBull.

wonder if that is copium or fact....

I'm guessing a team who needs a #1 driver with deep pockets - only one that comes to mind is Aston Martin.

Edit: Merc might be a possibility but that would be at the expense of George?

When he left, Newey said that the Red Bull car was nearing the limits of its design and had its flaws.

Max had concerns about the car during his dominant run, but the team ignored him because they kept winning. Insert "Suffering from success" meme. Then the RB-21 showed that there were problems when teams like McLaren was regularly beating it.

If the team ignores feedback from both Max and Checo, its hardly the drivers fault. In fact Horner has already said that it was their fault the car is like this because the team ignored driver concerns way back in early 2023.

I honestly feel quite bad for Checo now, his performances were honestly not his fault. His car was pretty terrible. Lawson's poor form was in a car that was actually easier to drive than the one Checo was tasked to drive, which means we have misjudged his abilities quite horribly.

Max's ridiculous talent is both the reason why they got those 4 WDCs and the reason why the car is so terrible right now. With any other driver they'd basically be in Aston Martin's position in 2025.
