I think the reason Bottas is testing somewhere else is becasue there is no seat at Merc for him.....

"Will Buxton has harshly criticized Red Bull’s disingenuous and unsupportive approach to demote Liam Lawson after just 2 races:
“Red Bull’s talk of their ‘duty of care’ is laughable.”
“You either believe in the driver you’ve signed and give them support or you don’t.”
“They’ve played fast and loose with driver careers for decades but this is a new low. 2 races is insane.”

FML what was RedBull supposed to do when one driver is at the top and the other is at the bottom? F1 is a business, not a charity. They could have fired him outright but didn't, Liam tried and it just didn't work out, he may thrive at VCARB now who knows. Yuki is a tough nut, he'll be fine.

If I drove in F1 and came last and my teammate first, I would expect to be fired... so would you. In fact every single person on this group would come last and as such expect to be fired. Being swapped is a huge plus and Liam is well aware of it I'm sure.

Yes they should rather follow AstonMartin's philosophy and keep a driver in the seat for years and hope someday he will score a podium finish for the team. If these British pundits was in charge of a billion dollar racing team it would go bankrupt in 2 years.

while I agree, keeping a driver who is not performing is not a good plan. 2 races is not enough.
add to that its 2 circuits he has never raced at.

at the very least they should have given him one more race, at a track he knows well. like Suzuka.

I think 6 races is the correct number. it is a 4th of the season.

but that is my opinion, and I have also stated multiple times that I believe Yuki should have gotten the seat....

F1 is a business, not a charity. - spot on

perhaps a lot of the "too soon" sentiment arises from a society where eeeeveryone gets a medal

People its the British mafia I told you about. They have tried to destroy competition in F1 for decades.

Lets not forget it was the British media that put Horner on the sport on tv asking if there is a Liam problem and he is not scoring for the team. It is the same British mafia now crying foul on Red Bull.

There was no outrage when Williams dropped Sergeant mid season.
There was no outrage when Mclaren dropped Montoya mid season.

This is a sick bunch of people

Why do people keep bringing this up? Nobody argued that it wasn't a (cut-throat) business. Red Bull f*cked up. The end.
copium.

inside they know Red Bull is messing up, but they cant admit it because it would mean that Max is not the second coming of Fangio or some such nonsense, so they make up these pointless arguments to try and cope.

never been a fan of Ralph or what he has to say.

but even when I dont like someone, if they are right they are right.

the fact that even Max agrees the move is too soon shows just how bad things are in the red bull camp

I've never liked him either, and I still don't.
