Race within the rules then. He should have qualified higher and then there wouldn't have been issues. Blaming others for his own poor performance just shows weakness of character.
I actually wondered why gasly pitted after bortoletto hit the wall... not that it even helped him.![]()
EXPLAINER: What is the new two-stop rule for Monaco?
Formula 1 will add another challenge to the mix at this year’s Monaco Grand Prix, with two pit stops being mandated for the 2025 race. But how exactly do the new rules work? What are the consequences for breaching them? And what do the drivers think about it all?www.formula1.com
Idk if I'd call Hamilton slow, he did the job the team asked him to do and then cruised to the finish because there was no point to push. How slow is Hamilton. 50s behind his teammate and half the race the top 3 was driving slow deliberately.
Great race for Hadjar, Lawson and Bearman.

Yeah those guys had decent races, but that was down to team strategy more than anything else..... something Mercedes could learn from....oh and also Ferrari race engineers need remedial classes.
Shows how **** the track actually is. He took a drive through penalty about what, 5 laps after the incident and in that time he'd pulled enough of a gap that he didn't even lose the place.I'm not a fan but if I was in his shoes I would have done the same. They are there to race not play games.

And yet he'd been unable to overtake even with such a speed difference.
I didn't see that as giving the middle finger.....that was a spoilt brat thinking fck the rules simply because he got frustrated.
Nothing to celebrate with that useless move.
The conversation was already underway since the very first lap. George added nothing but embarrassing his team further, it just showed how the team messed up in front of everyone.Rules don’t get altered without starting a conversation.
This starts the conversation.
He got his penalty and his race was over. He didn't have an advantage in the end and he knew going in to that overtake his race was over.
I would rather focus on why drivers get into a position where they feel breaking the rules is better than the position they felt wasn't fair.

Reclaim land in the harbourI feel this track just needs to add another kilometre somewhere and everything will be quite different.

I disagree, the teams must and should exploit the rules to the letter of the law, this is no different than teams orders when one driver stands to gain advantage over rival team drivers. This has been the way of motor racing since it's inception. And we don’t know Toto didn’t tell him to do it to make the point.
The embarrassment should have been with the teams using that strategy, whether legal or not.
No need for all that....the best solution is make the cars smaller.... they're freaking limousines now.Reclaim land in the harbour![]()
