What an interesting Spanish GP... much better than normal.
Verstappen being in the wars and not making the best of the situation in the last few laps due to the tires he was given and ultimately behaving like a prick. I was actually rooting for him until the safety car due to his strategy and his performance and hoping he could hustle the McLarens at the end at least, but then the ugly side came to the surface.
Well done Piastri... well on his way to the championship.
Well done Hamilton for going backwards again... what is the excuse this time. He says he learnt
'absolutely nothing' these past three races. That's nice to know, that inspires confidence... you're supposed to be part of the GOAT list, getting paid a huge sum of money because you're a talented driver and because of your achievements. Well, sorry bud, you ain't showing me anything to that effect. How can you struggle this much, surely you must adapt if you're that good and skillful. If you're serious about still racing maybe focus on the racing and get your siht sorted out first and focus less on all the other curricular activities/distractions that's not racing, that's what I would do in his situation. If I know I'm struggling, then my focus would be 100% on licking the issues.
If the Ferrari team was mine I would replace Hamilton asap (how dramatic) and put Alonso (yes, I like Alonso and still rate him above many on this grid and with a winning car he will also be able to still win) in that car (pipe dream of course), he will definitely make better use of the equipment just to prove a point, and to further, I still rate Alonso more talented and a better driver than Hamilton and would take Alonso over Hamilton any day in my team. Alonso has more fight in him, more determination, yes he can also be a handful, but I know what I can expect, even when the chips are down... to me Alonso has always shown and proven that over his career, and he is one of those drivers who should've had more championships, and even wasted many years at the wrong time with teams, but that's how the cookie crumbles sometimes in F1. And screw anyone saying he's too old, he's still bloody fast and still can win races or another WDC.
Thus far... there are only two disappointments so far this season.
Hamilton and the
second Red Bull car... maybe they should get married.
