I never mentioned anything about Hamilton being negative about the car, because fundamentally there is nothing wrong with the car, it's the driver, so he should be negative about himself, and I'm well aware of Alonso's temperament that's why I said that Alonso can be a handful as well, knowing his fiery temper. Yes, Alonso will always be the better option, and the reason I use Alonso is because they are from the same era and the two oldest drivers in F1, thus the comparison., and I will stand by that statement that Alonso overall is a better driver than Hamilton. I could've said anyone else's name could be put in that Ferrari now, and they will still do better.
The McLaren when Alonso was there, now that car was a real dog, as slow as an F2 car and back of the field, so yes, frustrations and complaints can be excused when the driver is wanting to perform and move forward. To even compare it to this year's Ferrari is ludicrous, and this year's Ferrari is not so bad. I'm picking on Hamilton for a reason, because so much more is expected of him and because of his credentials and achievements, it will stand out more when it's lacking. The basics of an F1 car are all the same, and at the end of the day how you manage to setup your car will determine if you're fast or not. It seems Hamilton and his race engineer can't even do that. If you can't figure out how to use the brakes, seriously, or to make sure your car isn't lose at the rear, or to gain time in certain corners etc. How much time do you need to get used to something... it's already been round 9 in the season for an experienced driver.
And to even compare Alonso against Stroll, even this season, now that's just being thick and funny.
You guys can sugar coat all you want, I say it like I see it.
How much better do you expect Hamilton to be when Charles isn't having a spectacular season, either? Charles is no slouch, and as it is, he is behind George Russell in the standings and Hamilton is one place behind him. Who do you put in that Ferrari and expect better results than both Charles and Hamilton?
As for how good or bad that car is, Vasseur said this 3 days ago -
Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur has demanded that the outfit fixes the SF-25's balance issues, with him having acknowledged that the Italians "are struggling".
The Maranello-based outfit have endured a troublesome start to the season, which has seen both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton complain of the car's performance.
"It's not a secret that we are struggling a little bit with the balance of the car, we have to improve on this," Vasseur told Sky F1.
Fred Vasseur makes key Ferrari demand: 'We are struggling'
Ferrari has a lot of catching up to do in the constructors' title, with one problem having held Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton back.
Prior to that, Charles was deeply critical of the car ahead of Monaco.
By this time last year, Ferrari had won 2 races and picked up 9 podiums, including a 1-2. The SF-25 has been a huge step backwards from the SF-24.
