I have no idea why they would want to put in old drivers that did not make the cut back into F1.
Riciardo, Bottas, Magnussen all had enough time in F1 and did not excel. Can just as well put a promising rookie in. Will get the same results, only the rookie might get better and get you better results.
Same goes for Hulkenberg, Gasly, Ocon. All just average drivers that had enough time to make their mark.

Because experience can benefit new teams (I assume you are referring to Cadillac talking to Bottas and Perez). It helps them find a baseline for their cars for a start. There will also be a lot of inexperienced blood in a new F1 team and experienced drivers can also aid engineers and mechanics in their development. Seeing as both have driven for championship-winning teams, they will know what it takes to win, and at the very least how to get the basics right.

As for the other drivers you mentioned, their experience is telling. Hulkenberg has more points this season than Sauber/Alfa/Kick scored in 2023 and 2024 combined, and his 5th place finish in Spain is their highest finish since 2022. He had also accounted for all of Sauber's points until this weekend when Bortoleto scored his first points. Gasly and Ocon are beating their rookie teammates. Alpine would have zero points if not for Gasly. Without Ocon, Haas would be last in the standings.

Magnussen's return was much needed for Haas after Mazepin and Mick Schumacher. Haas went for two rookies and they suffered because of it. And in his return, Magnussen beat his younger teammate.

The only rookie beating their teammate this year is Hadjar, and Lawson is basically a rookie himself, and is still likely rebuilding his confidence after having it rocked during his time in the Red Bull. Russell is eclipsing Antonelli.

Finishes in the points in consecutive races isn't necessarily the same as consecutive finishes in the points but that's just semantics.
How would you have consecutive finishes in the points, if not in consecutive races?

Yup, a rookie with Bottas would be a good choice imo.

This popped up on my Qobuz releases. Needless to say, it's full of GenZ shite 🤣

Imho they'd probably be better off in the beginning with 2 experienced drivers with historical data they can measure and quantify their car's performance against to get a decent baseline.
I like the fact that a rookie such as a Bortoleto , Hadjar, even Bearman can push and sometimes beat their more experienced team mates and as such keep them on their toes. You still have the experience, but also the hunger of a youngster pushing the limits.

Sure but they're all in teams in different stages of development and not brand new. Plus, Cadillac with be entering with a Ferrari PU so it'll mostly be design/aero engineering in the beginning and you need as much experience as possible especially those who are able to communicate well.

Sadly that's what will probably be the defining factor.

Well it makes sense though. For a new team, they need to find their feet in the sport. Last thing you want is your drivers putting it into the wall every second week. Bottas is reliable, driven a championship winning car etc, he will be a good choice to let the team settle and learn. 2-3 years down the line, you get the fast young guys in like a Borteleto or Hadjar etc
