F1 2026

I kind of love the idea of ferrari being fast off the line and out of corners and Merc being untouchable on the straights.

because the season is split evenly between tracks that will favour each.

How? They were just not the best as predicted by their fans. They were still just pipped by Ferrari for second place in the championship.
They did not suffer, was still competitive.
Drama queen Toto and Hamilton complaining because they not dominant is not the same as not even finishing a race or even starting it.
 
McLaren and Red Bull being way of the pace has nothing to do with drivers or driving style.
They were the two teams fighting for the championship and developing/upgrading their 2025 cars while the rest of the field was throwing all their resources into the 2026 cars.

Verstappen (and many others) does not complain because they not competitive, They say there is no skill involved. Its all just artificial.
The drivers that called it fun did not say its great for the sport. They said its fun. Playing Mario cart is fun.
Unfortunately F1 is not a game. Its serious business, many sponsors involved. Fun artificial racing will just last a few months, then fans will go look for real racing.

Their is no skill(driver) involved going fast on a straight.
How late you could brake, how fast you can go through a corner and how fast you can exit a corner is where the skills have always been.
Now we charge batteries with braking onto the corner, charge battery in the corner. All just to get the highest speed on the straights.
Simple as that. No skills involved. I you don't understand that, you don't understand racing.

Because the drivers' frustration isn't (only) that they're not winning, it's that they don't like the style of driving required. F1 drivers want to attack corners and be on the limit of traction, not coast and recharge through them

You were very silent about DRS if that's your attitude. DRS was even worse as you had to be 1 second behind to even use it and the guy in front couldn't use it. Now the playing field is even. First of all Hamilton was one of the first complaining about the new regulations.
Secondly please stop sucking things out your thumb. I have always been one of the most vocal about how bad and artificial DRS is.

This feels like Dejavu
Last year all you Hamilton fans was all hyped, ready for the championship. Then you all went quiet as reality settled in. Now after more than a year he finally got a podium, only just. Now you all up and full of your F1 knowledge. Soon he and you lot will fade away again.
This has nothing to do with Verstappen. You lot Hamilton fans want to make it about him. This has all to do with getting a mushroom to pass artificially. With collecting energy in corners and braking so you can get your mushroom.

LOL funny that the first half of last year Verstappen's car was shyte, ok most of the year but especially the first half. His car was not even in the top 4 fastest.
Yet I did not see him complain about the regulations or driving style or anything.

And here you lot claim he is complaining because his car is too slow.

Again, complaining about driver discomfort and possible injury and a far cry from complaining about the rules and artificial racing.

Max complains while winning or losing. He just want racing to be better and not all these artificial and tv drama BS.
It has nothing to do whether his car is slow this year.
