F1 2026

Disappointed for Oscar, safety car cost him a chance at the win

But happy for Kimi, think he could go on a good run of wins before the others catch up a bit.

Georgy boy is going to get rattled this season

So the Top 7 are basically the same except for Russell which lost 2 places:

Same as China. A whole lot of racing without much effect on the result. Bad starts, pit stops and safety cars having no real effect - it's all about hot laps in qualifying at the moment.

It's never been safe to impede a faster car.

Franco: "The big issue is the closing speeds, they're so different. He was probably like 50kph quicker than me. When I saw him, he was already on the grass. The issue is that it literally looks like outlaps vs pushlaps. It's very tricky to race like that, it makes it very dangerous.""I'm glad he's okay, I saw him walking, i'm glad he's fine."

Good win for Kimi.
Funniest thing of the race was at the first few laps the British commentators rooting for Kimi to beat George. LOL not even the Brits like that clown.
If Hamilton did not hold up Leclerc that much, Leclerc could have got 2nd.
Still a shitshow

As for the new regulations. Still a joke,
You only pass artificially with your extra battery power and then you run out of battery and the guy just pass you back.
What a joke, a lot of passing but positions stay the same.

The luck we have is that FIA take safety very seriously and the Bearman/Colapinto incident is just the start. I unfortunately suspect we going to see many more of these extremely dangerous situations where one car run out of power on fast parts and we going to see big crashes. Hopefully nobody dies.

But to much more of this and we will see these new regulations scrapped quickly.

Also I give it about 5 more races and even the supporters of this regulations will be bored of the fake excitement and call for it to end.

The Mercedes duo had appeared closely matched throughout the weekend, but there was a gulf throughout qualifying after a change was made to the rear of Russell's car following final practice earlier on Saturday. Russell told Sky Sports F1: "We made an adjustment on the rear of the car before qualifying but it was tiny, it was meant to be transparent. And I went out and it was so bad it felt like something was broken on the rear. "It didn't improve, I just had to adjust my driving style a lot, I had to remove a huge amount of front wing to compensate, because it was almost like I was spinning off on the entries of the corners. The last corner, I couldn't get round, I was almost spinning in that corner.
