It's sad how George went from almost being assured of a title because he was the most experienced guy in the team driving the fastest car on the grid to being 3rd in the Championship, after a Ferrari.

I wasn't good at university maths, but in school adding two negative numbers results in a negative number.

what a fantastic race actually.

I feel like LH would have won based on the strat he was on regardless of the timing of the safety car.
that being said, wiht the reliability of the Merc engine, gambling on a 3 stop there wiht the hope of finding a VSC is not that big of a gamble.
I mean sure it wasnt a Merc that gave him the free stop but I understand the choice to do it.

I think this was a good race, because Perelli chose the softer tyres making more pit strategies possible.

Perelli gets a lot of grief for bad tires, or tyres that last too long, but in this case they got it right.

Ferrari just need to find another quart sec to give them a chance for a race win, because for now they can only catch podiums. Hamilton might still be Kimi's challenger come season's end.

Could this prediction still play out this way? Lewis has definitely been showing good form and pace this year, and it seems Ferrari has found some time. Still, I believe consistency will be key to who will win the championship.

Even without the VSC Lewis would still have won this race.

Yes the numbers work and no - we all know it’s one thing catching up, it’s another overtaking, especially if the delta isn’t big.
