F1 2026

Bit late to the party, was away for a few days. Nothing seems to have changed.
Leclerc still Ferrari's fastest driver, by over 20 seconds over his teammate on his home track.
Was pretty funny to hear the British commentary on the first few laps as Leclerc was pulling away, they claimed Hamilton was playing team game and driving slower to give Leclerc a gap over the rest.
Max Derange syndrome still strong on this thread,
Sainz still an idiot
Funniest thing I read was the clowns that complained about 2021 now suddenly wanted a motor race at the end of the race and safety car. UHM you were given that once and complained so much, it will never happen again.

God, but you can post drivel…

Something may well be afoot.

Pato O'Ward just "fired" himself from reserve duties at McLaren, all but shutting down any path into F1. His chances of ever getting a seat in F1 with McLaren was slim as it is, but if they end up with Norris and Verstappen, then that slim chance is gone.

Despite appreciating the opportunity to work with McLaren's Formula 1 operation, O’Ward admitted that his priorities have changed dramatically.

Rather than waiting for an elusive race seat in the pinnacle of motorsport, he believes he's already exactly where he wants to be.

"But I think I’m in a different moment in my life now, and I no longer care,” he added.

“There is nothing in me that drives me to continue as a reserve in Formula 1, because I’m in a great moment in IndyCar. I love the category. That’s where I want to be."

I can see Max going to Maclaren because GP is heading there.

but much like I could not see LH leaving Merc I cant see Max leaving RB. but I would be happy to be wrong.

it would be interesting to see Max driving a car that is not built around him and his driving style.
a great driver can win races in multiple cars.
a legend can win championships with different teams across different regulations periods.

Yes and no, even the McLarens are not exactly the poster boy for reliability. I get Max's frustrations, but almost every single team is struggling with these new clown regulations

I think Max would be stupid to move to them, but Lewis made an equally retarded move so it's probably not impossible.
