"The Stewards were satisfied Verstappen reacted appropriately to the yellow flag by lifting off throttle and reducing speed..."The overtake was an unfortunate consequence of the significant closing speed differential and, in these circumstances, [the Stewards] determined not to impose a penalty"

Yep FIA are buggering around with scalextric

What a farce

So next time a driver says “im down on power” were all going to wonder…

The first segment of sprint qualifying at Marina Bay was red-flagged to clear up debris from Sergio Perez's front wing.

Once the session resumed, a human error in race control meant that overtake mode - the power boost normally active throughout qualifying - wasn't reactivated. Several drivers reported they were curiously down on power, which was the result of the lack of additional electric boost.

Realising the error, a race control official reactivated the mode for 27 seconds before deactivating it again.

As a result of the human error, the result of SQ1 was severely affected because some cars had set their best lap during the first part, using Overtake Mode as normal, while after the stoppage other cars were either unable to improve without the extra power or were left outside the top 16 cut-off.

Both Williams cars were done in.
