F1 - General discussion and 2017

FP3 and Quali... If and when we get it.

Wonder if those that chose no to run in FP3 are regretting their decision

I don't get it either - it's now that you absolutely need to get a feel for what is possible and what not IMO.

Grosjean regretting going out ...
Suspect qualifying might happen tomorrow if it carries on like this ?

If hamilton gets bored with F1 he could have a great career in Power Boat Racing.
2+ seconds faster than anyone else in the rain so far.

Looking like it won't matter as it looks very likely that qualifying will be pushed to tomorrow.

That was unexpected, I was taping the qualifying as I was out this afternoon, just get home and find Q1 just starting...

It was Dave's fault that quali was delayed so long.................

New pole record holder. Head and shoulders above anyone else in those conditions. Verstappen did awesomely as well.

Pity with the penalties they hand Stroll a front row start!

I reckon pipped by both the bulls despite his faster lap. Those two drove like aces. He did extremely well too. Was an awesome quali.

The guy is an amazing driver, I wonder how long it'll be before anyone beats that record.

Dare I say it won't be beaten? Not with F1 as we know it today that is. Investment from the major manufacturers will go to Formula E in the not too distant future and the likes of Le Clerk, Norris, will be on show there I will bet.

Unless Verstappen gets a great car for the next few years that is.

Vettel is 21 or so behind. He still has a few years left in him. Put him in the right car and he could easily do it IMO.

They're in the same generation imo, Hamilton would have to retire a couple seasons before Vettel for that happen as he is still going to bag more poles.

That's why I think the younger guys in the right car could. Verstappen being my favorite, then Le Clerk (I think that's how you spell his name)
